i used rbe v1.11 to mod the bios and win flash(latest version).... i used gpu-z to save my bios file so that i could mod it in RBE....
with the clocks up and the fans working... i installed the patch for grid and 30fps extra just like that...

we need a bios to fix these fan issues....

RBE1.11 uses locked clocks and so initially provides inaccurate clock info(4870 only)...
bagzzlash-the creator of RBE has said that 1.12 will have this lock terminated, unfortunatly modding the bios before this new release is very difficult to get right...
for me without a way of accuratly measuring the amount of vcore you can administer with the app its also risky...

there are a few new hd4870's which will come pre-overclocked...
now if we could get our hands on one of those bios's we would all be happy...
meantime all we can do is hope ati/amd releases a new bios fixing the issue...
    or bagzzlash releases 1.12....

no i'm just using both as a mental thing..... lol they only use one connector even with two connectors...

a good example is the 4870x2 and 3870x2... youll notice they only use one connector....

i'm just about to apply some mx-2... we'll soon see if the tim they used is any good.... hardly any improvement with mx-2 and stock cooler....

after market cooling here i come....

mx-2 has brought down temps by 2-3% max... stock paste is really quite good imo...

Also... when you get your card DO NOT OVERCLOCK YOUR GDDR5 EXCESSIVELY... this ram degrades...

i thought i had a problem with my core's.... and after several days i realised that anything over 1040mhz made the cards unstable under furmark....
my cards are both from HIS...
