nice one Try to up some CPU voltage to 1.35, 1.37 and set it at 3600mhz. That will be nice score

I gues that Your Q6600 is B steeping or something. And its select!! at his own way I gues that Water cooling cant help you if your CPU cant start on 1.4v with air cooling. Change CPU)) But ofcourse WC can help you with Temps and OC for test's. But remember that 1.4750 Vcore is to high for 24/7 use.

uGuru is showing temps from diifferent place. Try to use coretemp. This program show temps from cores. But if you are using AC those Temps are not so high. Meaby your CPU is just hot. My friend had e8500 and on WC he had 50 C at 4ghz in ILDE!!! so some times those CPU have higher temsp.

i've made a little oc to my proc and to my ddr2 like this:

    fsb 450
    fmultiplicator 8
    cpu voltage 1.2750

the frequency is 3.6 ghz on the proc and on the ram is 1080 mhz. i've tested for 1 hour my comp with occt v2.0.0a and it show that the temp on the proc is 63-65 degrees. it's normal? also on uguru show with 10 degrees lower, and on coretemp show like occt.

It depends on what cooling you are using. If water then its a bit high on that voltage wich is quite low. On my Qx9650 and vcore 1.375 and 4000mhz i have after 50 minutes 54 54 53 53. U can see that i have bigger voltage and 400mhz more. But still 63-65 degrees its not so high. What thermal paste are u using?

I gues that those temps are a bit to high but it depends on many other things. Do u have one cooler on thermalright ultra 120 extreme? Meaby use 2x 120? It will give u 2-3C. Also try to change thermal past to other like Zalman ZM-STG1 or IC Diamond 7 Carat. They are better than Arctic Cooling. Meaby u have hot inside your case? Try to mount once more time your thermalright and put the paste only on the CPU just a little bit! Meaby it will help. But once more time those temps are not so high)) For me only 4-5 C to high

Anyone know when new bios will come?? I think that ABIT with his BEST product X38 should put the new bios! There is many of users who are using beta bios but beta for me are not working it is almost 4 months since last bios came. I gues that ABIT is sh***.

Hope that next BIOS will be 13, not any other Beta.
ABIT's BIOS support for X38 is very poor. That was a fault of mine choosin that board..

Ive just flashed to the F4a bios for my EX38-DS4. Havent done any testing yet because its almost dinner time.

PS. Maybe we should make a seperate thread for the Ex38-DS4. Just a suggestion

Ive just been testing the F4a bios for the EX38-DS4 and it isnt good. I couldnt boot my computer unless I had my ram at higher than 1066mhz. Then the system was unstable no matter what OC I threw at it. Im back to Bios F3 now.

Wheres the best place to find the beta bioses for my motherboard?

you can LOVE them and then again, you can HATE them!

a little bit irritating when they can not deliver an excellent working bios...you might want to search for an older beta bios for this board...i had to revert back 4 beta bioses to make my QX9650 to work fully with an unlocked multi.

Well I figured when all the x48 stuff was released the same team was doing the bios for that board.. Still there is no x48 Abit board and no 13 bios, so that theory was kind of shot in the foot.
You think when you buy the top of the line product you'd acquire more attention when problems are apparent. Ohh well just more reason to build a new pc in a year or two.
Granted not with an Abit board though. Gigabyte anyone?

hows this for a WC setup for my q6600? want to run voltage up to abour 1.5v.

apogee gt or gtx cpu block
    thermaltake p500 pump
    swifttech mcr220 rad.

    My advice:

CPU D-tek Fuzion + nozzle kit (quad nozzle)
    Swiftech pump MCP655 12V or Laing DDC 12V 1RT
and rad. buy with 3x120(6x120 on 2 sides) it will be better for quad Swiftech MCW320 Quiet Power or something.

i like the gigabyte X48T (DDR3)...i killed it by accident measuring vcore...got to sloppy with the probe at an angle where it touched another part...didn't see any spark but it shutdown and would not start up again...i will have the replacement tomorrow.

click on my link in my sig to see what i was able to do with it up to the time it died

Hello i have huge problem with my motherboard i buy this abit ix38 week ago and.2 days ago i put thermaltake 120 extreme and pull my cpu quad 6600 to 450x8 on 1.4375 v (Temp on max load: PWM max 70c, cpu 75c form core temp) test this setting with prime for about 10 hour computer halt i restart him and now i hear very strange noise (squeaky) probably from Digital PWM i think someone have somthing like this if yes can i repair this by myself or only one choice is to send this to abit for repair?

P.S. I flash this motherboard with bios Gilgamesh's BTA M704B_12.B09
and now when i flash with orginal 12 from abit site in bios i still have in right lower corner sign from Gilgamesh "(ix38-W627DHG-6A79PA1BC-12) B09" why ? and how i can back it to orginal??

I have a Abit QuadGT X38 ( great board, but BUGGY bios ) I can get 3ghz totally stable by just changing to 333fsb on an E6600 B2 revision ( first ever batch )

However to get to 3.2ghz stable it requires 1.4v @ 400 X 8, or even 356 X 9. Is this normal to need such a large increase in voltage to do this or is my chip not cutting it?

I found that at 400 X 8, it gets to windows, but on reboot the mobo switches off, then back on again the continues to boot. Almost as if it is having problems holding the strap as it does this if I change strap in bios then save?

How good is this board really? Does it hit 500FSB stable easily?
