    So is everyone going to rush out to get a P5E-VM ? I heard that T2R is doing 520 but I havent found the post yet .

    I'm sure anyone who has a P35 has a shot at 450 or even 475 stable. I mean... my board is a vanilla G35, I've never done anything but the pencil mod, which I undid a while ago. I'm sure better setups can get better results than this G35.

    Edit: And I can P.O.S.T. at 520, too... just that I can barely get into Windows at 500, talk about 520...

    I have my x3350 in a P5K deluxe now but I cant get it stable above 460mhz .

    Got it stable at 520x6 today on my E8500
    That was from the T2R thread , I think my mate quoted dual core clocks .

    Hmm... try my previous settings then? Everything to Auto. vCore to 1.3625v, vNB to 1.55v, and... that's it. Works everytime now. Rock solid, too.

    I could go to 4800mhz but ran around 4200 to 4300 full time because of heat & volts they said 1.42 at 4.5 was unstable. plus 1 orhtos made it heat up to 78C to 80C

    edit: also, 4400ish games were crashing, so no doubt orthos was going to error after a short while at 4500

    Hmm... and here's a priming update. I want to keep track for a few hours at least... so I have something to show you guys (and non-believers, too ).



    So... 1.288v stable with prime95 10K for almost 4 hours. Those temps look so tempting, too... Mmm... I kinda love my Big Typhoon now.

    nice work man. 3.8 is definitely a great oc on a 8x quad.

    Thanks. But I do believe I can do way better than that. 1.288v is still not low enough IMO.

    think you can do 8 x 500 for 4.0ghz? that would be pretty sweet, but some people will want to see it running orthos for a while in windows.

    3.8 on that chip I'm sure feels blazing fast in everything it does.

    I already validated it at 4.00GHz... but yeah, it's really hard to get 4.00GHz stable. But I'll try that later, anyway.

    How high are your NB/VTT voltages? To get mine to boot at even 3.6GHz, it seems like I have to have them extremely high. I also have 4*1GB of RAM though, so that might be why.

    Here are my current settings (on ASUS P5E-VM HDMI) for 475MHz:

    Clock Over-charging mode: 0.80v
    vCore: 1.3250v (1.3120v idle real and 1.304v load real)
    CPU volt ref: 0.63x
    PLL volt: 1.58v
    FSB volt (VTT): 1.28v
    NB volt: 1.55v (no worries, since I have an Extreme Spirit II for my NB chip)
    NB volt ref: Auto
    SB volt: Auto

    Rock solid so far, and I guess I'm just going to mod it as much. Might go even lower (I can do a lot of stuffs at 1.2875v vCore set in BIOS) but I wouldn't bother... since I've spent over three days trying to get the CPU to be stable at 1.3250v.

    To be honest i'm not impressed at the ammount of volts its needs

    I've been able to get my Q9450 Prime stable at 1900. I can't seem to get it to boot at QDR 2000. Anyone got there yet?

    ^= It needs that to boot, but:

    1.45v vCore
    1.80 vPLL
    1.50 vFSB
    1.71 vNB

    ...in the BIOS to actually get into Windows, sneak a fast SuperPI 1M, validate the clock frequencies, then... a complete lockup of the system.

    You are doing 8x475 @ these voltages?

    I have only been able to get stable at 3.6ghz so far, and it needs max(1.6) VTT and 1.61 NB


    Also, Try this all at the same time to test stability:
    -prime95 Large FFT
    -Folding SMP client
    -Loop and mp3 or other music file

    I primed for 12 hours stable, but found that the above would lock up the system in less than 10 mins every time. Upping my NB from 1.58 to 1.61 (as reported in windows) got me stable in the above load.

    Actually, I was just trying to remember my voltage settings then. Here are my real voltage settings written down:

    vCore: 1.3500v (1.320v idle real, and 1.304v load real, not so much of a difference... vdroop is huge)
    CPU volt ref: 0.63x
    PLL volt: 1.58v (yeah, I guessed this right)
    FSB volt (VTT): 1.32v
    NB volt: 1.55v

    Those are the correct settings that I had written down. My memories are kind of bad... after trying to digest what the heck VTT did and tweaking the hell out of the configuration to find the golden settings... :p It seems I got it now. Rock solid 24/7. I've left the computer on for some video conversions for 3 days straight now.

    By the way, I think 1.504v (for 3.80GHz) is too overkill... that's .2v higher than my settings. Even at 3.92GHz, I only needed 1.400v.

    My Q9450 arrives in 3 Days

    My Q6600 SLACR does almost 3.8GHz at 1.42v but with a lower multi and needing to push the FSB of a Q9450 to 475 will be interesting to see what vCore will be needed.

    Anything less and it just bluescreens on loading vista

    1.45v vCore
    1.75 vPLL
    1.50 vFSB
    1.71 vNB

    My current settings for 3.6ghz, If i set any voltages lower it just locked up after a few minutes. From what i've seen the X3350 clock much better than the X9450

    Someone just posted 3.90GHz at 1.36 out there. I don't think my X3350 can beat that... but maybe it's just that I haven't tried yet. Aww... what the heck! I'll try it when I have my Antec 900 case tomorrow.

    As for those voltages... those are... too high!
    I mean... umm... try playing around a bit with low voltages... first?
