Adding wire extensions to the fan wiring as I'm mounting the RAD outside of the case.

Testing to make sure I did not get my wires crossed.

All done with that, did not turn out as well as I had hoped due to the large bump where I soldered the extensions in at. I guess if I planned it a little better I could have offset where I soldered them in at so I could have fit the same size heat shrink tubing over it all, but o well.

Now I'm working on the mounts for the RAD but i'll do more of that tomorrow.

I'll add more as I get more done.

If anyone else has every built on one of these cases with water cooling please feel free to chime in with a few hints or cool ideas.

Sigh, now I'm tossing around the idea of going X38 for out of the box penryn support. I just have know idea how well it OCs. What kind of FSB walls are people expecting or seeing with the X38?

Why have you used Heatshrink for the entire cable runs instead of using braided cable and then heatshrink the ends. It looks really messy.

Cause thats all I had on hand, and its not anywhere near as messy as if I did nothing with them at all.

Been super busy with work, but I did get some more done.

Using left over hardware from other builds to mount this.

    Marking and drilling holes.

Temp mounting to see how its working out.

Its not as ridged or sturdy as I would like it to be so i'm gonna make some supports of some sort for it. Something like this maybe.

So far its coming along like I had hoped. Like I had said I'm mounting it like this because I did not want the RAD in the case and i'm trying out a few things with airflow. Mounting it like this also allows full access to the mother board tray and allows the ability to take the side panel off and on without dismounting the RAD, and the mobo tray also.

Thanks for any other ideas, and what you guys think so far.

I like what you did with your 830. I like the idea of what you did with that rad, and it would keep it out of the way for sure.

This is where I put my black ice 240

Still working on it, before I pull it all out and change all of the parts.

Thanks guys. Its my understanding that using air from inside the case (IE putting the RAD inside of the case) to cool the RAD does not effect temps at all or very little. But I wanted to see what I can do using only air from outside of the case to cool the RAD, and where the RAD is now will allow me to easily pipe air from an AC unit right to the RAD.

Its my first water build so I'm just kinda playing around with a few ideas and learning along the way.

Naw, length of the tubes wont effect cooling of this loop seeing as I'm only gonna be cooling the CPU, GPU, and NB.
