Will there be a set for the 3870's? I would like a set for them. Everyone here has a GT or GTS. No love for the 3870's. I don't want to buy a full cover block from EK, it's too expensive. I want to do a combo of these sinks with MCW60 as it will be cheaper for me just to get one more MCW60 and two sets of A2900 plates and these ramsinks. Otherwise I will be forced to buy the EK since it's probably better than my crappy Swiftech MC14 BGA ramsinks. Need something cheap and good for crossfire as fullcover blocks are ridiculously priced.

The man made these custom sinks for the video card he has. You'd probably have to buy him a 3870 or make a to-scale model of one if you want him to make these for it.

Full covers aren't ridiculously priced considering how much metal and machining goes into them.

That being said I want one of these simply because I'd rather change the memory (and vregs and whatever else) cooler and not use prone to fall off ramsinks and keep my gpu waterblock.

30-50$ for this thing vs replacing a 90-120$ fcb everytime i change waterblocks sounds nice to me.

Why in the world would you need to replace the ramsinks on the 3870 with another set of ramsinks? The ramsinks on the 3870 are separate from the GPU heatsink and can stay in place if you remove the stock GPU HSF.

It's taking too long to get these things (damn USPS). I know you're fully backlogged iandh, but I can't wait until Petra's gets them in. I've been holding off on a new build until I can get a set of these for my 8800GT. I've been checking their site multiple times a day since Wednesday for these things. Have you patented these? You should sell the design to one of the known heatsink manufacturers.

Psssh thats nothing, I have been checking the site multiple times daily since x-mas...I need to decide real soon what to do as it appears I need new brass tops for all my waterblocks. My Lucite tops all cracked. So I will be ordering from DD now for one reason or another.

He must be really bisy cause he never returned my PM (so no exception here), I'm just really looking forward to these, but I'm waiting on some other parts as well as my 7800GT to get back from RMA so I can at least turn my computer on. Sounds promising this time so I hope they all make it to PTS soon.

That was what I was hoping for, but I also have a 50hr+ a week job, and I just moved from my apartment into a new house and am still unpacking while trying to do household repairs and fill orders at the same time.

I've been working 16+ hour days for well over a month, besides a couple days off here and there. I am really doing the best I can. If I hadn't had to waste so much time with shipment issues I may have had them done sooner. Keep in mind that I have produced, sold and shipped almost fifty sets of these things not counting the orders for Petra's and ChilledPC. That amounts to somewhere around 100 hours in machining time not counting travel.

I hope the hassles you've encountered don't put you off from continuing to produce these fine ramsinks. You've designed an excellent product and we appreciate the time and effort you've put into them. Unfortunately, you've had some bumps along the way. But once you get settled into your new place and get the USPS bugs worked out, I think you'll do fine.

Personally, I don't use "stick on" ramsinks anymore. I MUCH prefer the bolt-on style that you're producing so that I can use a high-quality thermal paste. Plus I don't need to worry about either ripping the memory chips right off the PCB if I need to remove them or having them fall off should the thermal tape fail.

I still plan on producing these as long as a reasonable demand remains, and will probably make them for future models of popular cards as well.

As I related via PM to several customers, I think the shipping issues were caused by my local PO or a nearby sorting hub as even the guys at Petra's were amazed by the trouble I've had. They did confirm though that occasionally their international shipments get stuck in customs for up to a month and then miraculously reappear and are delivered.

I would like to profusely thank everyone who has been so patient and understanding with me, even with delays reaching into the length of weeks. I truly appreciate it.

Just FYI for everyone, I meant to get them shipped today but we had a special visitor at work today (our contract officer- $$$$ ) and I was not able to leave to get them shipped. I will probably be here for another couple hours still, I am just taking a break to eat some chips. I will however be dropping them off tomorrow as my lunch is guaranteed.

My employer just purchased a new server (old one was ancient). We're in the middle of getting SSL set up on the new software along with a few other things. I am out of email contact for a short time, so if any of you have been attempting to contact me via email please do so via PM for the next couple days. Should be back up shortly.

Please tell me these shipped out and I'm just waiting on Petras ? *fingers crossed*

Prices have already started dropping on my unused GTS video card, I kinda wish I had not purchased it now (not your fault but it's the game we play vs buyers remorse) :P

I got the GTS because I returned an early purchased GT, and I got in on the [H] deal for the GTS so it only cost me $50 more than the GT card (in december)...Of course you can get GT's cheap now but at the time they were only a little cheaper

Well it's been a month and a half but hopefully the second set he shipped my way last week (?) will make it here safely and not get lost by his post office like the first one. =)

Were these on Petra's at all this week or did I miss 'em? Checked earlier this week and didn't see any listing. Didn't have much time to check mid-week and when I checked tonight, didn't see them listed.

I'm guessing Petra's didn't get there shipment in yet (hopefully -- as I've had cash in hand waiting patiently!). But I must say this is the longest I've delayed a system build (getting close to a month now) for a pair of heatsinks. While definitely worth the wait, if I can't obtain them sometime next week, I'm going to have to think of alternative cooling for my 8800GT (guess grab some of those Enzo copper sinks?), as I'd like to get my system up by the end of the month at the very least.

This is no complaint in any way toward iandh or petra's (as the design and craft of workmanship is uncanny) it's just like others here, we can only wait so long.
