    what week is that?!?!

I'm talking to all of you guys. We have a few L723B's where I work...i want to pick one up. Tomorrow, that is.

Even though the E6750's are like $20 more...this sounds like a good chance to really push this DFI

    L731B any good for E6750?
L730B any good for E6750? need some responses plx! i want one tomorrow! i'll check this thread at work!

    thanks!

I think the one I have right now (E6750) has the same wall but I've not tested it on a separate board yet so not sure if its board or CPU. L726B does 472 x 8 = 3.77 at 1.35V or even at 1.7V

    I picked up an L723B E6550, and it won't even do 500fsb.

Either I have no idea what i'm doing, or this chip sucks.

They are FSB walled just like mine. Couldn't go above ~475 FSB and it needed 1.34v to be stable at stock 2333 Mhz. 6550 are sometimes just total crap... I guess that's why we don't see lot of topics about 6550 ocing.

Anyway congrats Rol-Co, quite surprised about your results.

My E6750 is FSB walled 478 bro. Not all of them are all that good. ~3.8GHz top possible through SetFSB, 3.74GHz max bootable at 1.42V.

Mine went up to 476 FSB however teh motherboard I was using (MSI P35 Neo-F) has a known FSB wall at 474 so the chip is good, and the wall wasnt its fault...

    Funny, I have a L723 E6750 that does 585fsb but has a gigantic voltage wall at 3.5ghz - stock v for 3.5, 1.45 for 3.6, 1.5 for 3.7, 1.55 for 3.8 and so on. But it does do 585x6 at 1.4 volts.

Got myself an e6550 for a month ago (L720A) and i've even removed the IHS.
The w/c -system is in my sign and as you see im cooling NB to. Current cpu temperature (coretemp 0.96) @ 23/22 till around 25/26 so it's kinda chilled. Chipset stays around 30 and load around 35-39C

Haven't been onto Intel since P2-time. Anyway i have no idéa what this chip can do more than i've seen Rol-Co's results and some others.
    Current FSB: 515 stable (515x7) @ 1.45, NB 1.47, VTT/MCH 1.4

    3500mhz 100% stable @ 1.37v, NB 1.4, VTT/MCH 1.4

Hope i just don't walk in some boring wall in the middle of my hunting.

Tried this cpu a while ago with some ln2 but reach maximum fsb of the stock board (p5k-e) i think, even voltage didn't help.

    nice result anyway

    s-pi

    pifast

    max validation at 4371mhz

That's some nice chip you got. 1.68 on SS or just air ? what other voltage do you give for NB and MCH/VTT or are they still on auto?

If it wouldn't be for this mem.modules then i think 4.1+ would be possible, but after all this is a hell of a board so i think i should be able to reach some pleasing FSB with help of all the cool parameters in bios.

The sticks should max out around 1100-1130mhz @ 2.3-2.4.. i'll hope for the best. Current volt 2.17v

last one is with ln2, did change some settings at bios for nb,fsb voltage, pll voltage all max.
cpu voltage at 1.70 too but no need to, 1.45 this cpu does the same minus 100 degrees.
