Today I spent some hours to test the max stable fsb with E8400. And this time I used core temp to show the temps Dont know the ambient temperature but it should be something between 19°-20°C

Max FSB running Prime95 is 560MHz

Can run Super Pi1M with 565MHz FSB. 32M stopps after 6 loops.

And yes, these Chips will run very cold. Never seen more than 66°C on Coretemp, even if set 1.55V in Bios.

Thank you for showing the temps. Seems cool! Nice clocks with what I assume is an undervolt at 1.2 vCore?

1.2v is a bit over default voltage. If set default in bios it will show 1.168 idle and 1.152v under load.

I am liking these things more and more. I just hope the 8500 will cooperate with my P5W DH Dlx.

nice, what memory divider are you using?
5:6 is giving me the max fsb so far with my 6750, 560fsb bootable but not stable max stable is 550.

    stock heatsink!

I am using 1:1 divider. You can see it in the validation link. 5:6 is maybe bit better for max fsb but my ballistix donīt run DDR1400 @ 2.2V and that is what I need for 580MHz fsb with 5:6 divider

    Very nice going there, thanks.

Temps are somewhat irrelevant and depent to much on cooling solution and ambient temps, current cpu's can still be stable over 70C.
Not the Yorkies anyway. 64.5C damages and throttles CPU.
What does it tell you if he gets 30C idle?
A potential user paying and buying it would like to know what cooling solution is required for high FSB/MHz benchable/stable under which conditions and the CPU operating temp. I mean user posting can always be cooling bottlenecked for FSB. A little bit of easy extra info always helps everyone rather than a few.

Next week I will try e8400 and maybe e8500 with dice and hope to break the 600mhz barrier

As you can see I donīt need much voltage to get these high fsb. Everything was tested with normal air cooling without opening the window or let the ac blow on it.

If anyone wants to know, I can repeat the test and add
    coretemp to the picture.

I know from a french user who was able to get 543MHz FSB on G33M-DS2R, but 580MHz, I think I am the only one with aircooling

You can say that again, good samples will do 5GHz water/aircooled.

But please let 'm hurry releasing those monsters!!

What do you think what I thought

Tried the chips on severel P35 and X38 Boards but they all maxed out at ~565-570MHz, but not stable enaugh to get a validation.

Then I tried my htpc board and this one easiliy can do this. After some testing, mch/fsb voltages in bios on normal even on 45nm quadcore up to 460MHz FSB.
