Corsair HX 620w vs Corsair tx 650

which one would u choose, both oem by seasonic, it is hardly find some review for the tx 650w.

I would personally pick the HX620W purely because it is modular which is a very nice feature to have. Thats my personal preference though, some ppl prefer modular and some ppl dont.

in UK the TX650 is only about £10 or so cheaper, if your rig doesn't need many cables you might find the modular capability of the HX620W a godsend (I do!)

About the only difference you have between the 2 is the modular cables on the HX. So its all a matter of modular or no modular.

that is different , tx 750w oemed by cwt, same as the vx 550w.
it seems vx 450, hx 520,620, tx 650 oemed from seasonic.......(anybody plz confirm this).

yes, tx has single rail. but 750w and 650w is different oem...what about hx,i am not sure, somebody said actually it still single rail......

The manufacturer breaks down like this:

VX450 - Seasonic
VX550 - CWT

HX520 - Seasonic
HX620 - Seasonic

TX650 - Seasonic
TX750 - CWT


The TX650 is based on a revision of the S12-II design from Seasonic, with some small component changes and our own cable config (longer cables, fully sleeved, more connectors, etc).

aha, it is funny that they said this tx 650 do not need a review for customers, it will be as good as hx 620,

HX620 is still a single rail psu, it is extremely powerful and has been tested running OCd Quad core and 2x8800GTX

and yeah i havent seen any proper reviews of it...but it seems you've already made a value judgement based on it being a 'seasonic' made item.

even the cwt made tx750 has good solid low ripple characteristics and efficient fan/low noise.

I could only guess that the 650 may perform similarly to the 750 with no other info except the corsair spec.'s single rail xyz amps 120mm variable speed fan yadayadayada.


...but for the price i'd stick with the 620hx the 620hx is about $40 aud cheaper than tx650 in australia.
silverstone op650 is the same price here as tx650

They are all single +12V rail, the HX-520/HX-620 are as single rail as the TX and VX, they are just 'claimed' as multi-rail in the specs, it is one +12V rail, not limited either.
