    4GB DDR3 (D9GTR/D9GTS) 4x1GB or 2x2GB?

I'm probably picking up some DDR3 within the next couple weeks and could use some advice from those who are currently using it.

Since the best DDR3 IC's out atm are D9GTR/D9GTS and are of 128mb density per IC, 1gb modules made with them are single sided, and 2gb modules are also available double-sided.

My question is, which would setup would yield better results? Four single-sided 1gb modules, or two double sided 2gb modules.

Nobody has used four 1GB DDR3 D9/Z9 modules that can share their experience with them?

I think 2x2 will provide best performance, but I'm might to be proven wrong..? Mainly due being double sided, secondly due alot of boards having weak slots

Why should anyone use DDR3 yet? Isn't it completely inane to? At least I wasn't able to figure out any advantages for my purpose
