    OMFG

I had never expected York to do this great, I had expected perhaps 4.2GHz or so at such voltages on good samples of the 3GHz model but 4.65GHz 1.49v superpi run!

I agree with you hipro, poor AMD. As it seems now they won't get as much love from enthusiasts as Penryn will get.

Into bios I see 24*C on the mobo and 24*C on the CPU at 3.6GHz and default VCore....
    At 1.356VCore and 4303MHz into bios I see ~37*C...

You must have seen my face when I was keep raising the frequency with 1.356VCore and benching 2k6....Apparently it does 2k6 at 4374MHz with 1.356VCore

WTF, that's just unreal. What stepping is yours then, C0 perhaps?

I think this would do sth along 6.2GHz on LN2 possibly if you got a good enough mobo for it lol.

How far Q9450 will go will depend mostly on your motherboard it seems like now with 8x multi. Too bad 8.5x and 9x multi version is so much expensier, with Penryn those high multis will come useful for sure...

It's fascinating to see the fantastic numbers done with 3 stage cascades and LN2, but in a way it's much better to see what can be done in a real world situation.
I see your numbers and they tell me I can run that myself at over 4000mhz 24/7 and that impresses the crap out of me.
You really got me excited over this one George!

And if the chip allows it,my board does 500FSB so I don't think I will have a trouble due to FSB(4Ghz for daily use would good enough for me) but due to the chip heat

Personally this is the most suprising overclock results of a product I've ever seen. But it seems the samples only keep getting better and better by every new revision so imagine what York might do with some later revisions.

And if the chip allows it,my board does 500FSB so I don't think I will have a trouble due to FSB(4Ghz for daily use would good enough for me) but due to the chip heat
Well quads usually doesn't allow as high fsb as dual cores so that's my main concern, my E6750 does at least 515fsb at 6x multi with stock volts (haven't tested higher) and 500~505 on 7x multi and tops at 469x8 so I don't think at least mine would do 500 fsb with a quad but I'd be happy with 8x480 too for example.

I know, I'm trying to decide if I sell my soul or my hopefully still virginal daughter to buy one.
I have 2 boards here that the QX9775's will just drop into and run, bios updated to take them.
