As an update, I was able to recover from it with the same method I outlined before, I just had to use different modifiers. So ya, no more flashmenu for me LOL

I used a drdflash bootable floppy, then put awdflash and the bios file on the floppy. then in autoexec.bat i used the modifiers /py /sn /cd /cp /cc /cks /R.

really glad I didn't throw away my last floppy drive.

I always keep my floppy around for this reason and this reason alone. Floppy still saves your tail after all these years. Grats on getting it working

well...windows wouldn't allow me to re-install the INF drivers so i couldn't check it out for you...just follow joebar's way and it should work for you...be patient as the drivers install to get your mouse and keyboard back working...you could alyways buy a USB to P/S2 converter to help your self out when this happens again.

You wouldn't happen to know what the name of the thread was called would you, and thanks for trying at least. If it's in this thread then I better get started on that homework of looking.

Tried using search to no avail just yet...

    Here you go guys.
Sorry I don't have any load temp pics (primed for 24 hours though, max temps was 62c, cpu v in bios is 1.485.)

(120mm exhaust fan behind tuniq has 90cfm, same fan used as side, blow air into case bottom and hard drives, and on an angle blowing into video card for 58c idle temps. Two 90mm fans blowing botom of case and one on top blowing out).

Interesting, me too, with about 4 different sets of ballistix I got the same 1180 limit. Actually 1150 is my stable limit on any of the ballistix.

I just picked up an Abit IP35-Pro and got it installed over the weekend, but I’ve been having some trouble with UGuru and the BIOS settings. I updated to the latest official BIOS (9/6/07), but I couldn’t get UGuru 3.104 to work at all on Vista; it would crash immediately upon startup. I installed UGuru 3.105, which works, but I’m having some odd problems with keeping my BIOS. If I manually change any of the BIOS values by hitting delete after POST and save changes, the changes won’t show up after the reboot. However, if I make the same changes in UGuru the changes will save. Unfortunately, this means I can’t change the memory divider or multiplier at all. Anyone else have this problem or have any suggestions for a fix?

You save your changes by hitting f10 and then enter. Delete just gets you into the bios.

Right, but it's not saving changes after making them in the BIOS and hitting F10 + enter to save.

That sounds either like a bad board or bad bios flash, or bad settings & BIOS "self-resets" to the last bootable settings.

I got 6hr of orthos blend last night at 1188 with 475fsb x 8 and then it threw an error! That was with the 1:1.25 ratio and I know the cpu wasn't at fault because it will do 480fsb just fine with the 1:1.20 ratio. Got 12 hr of blend with that. I just bumped my mch up to 1.41 and am trying again now.

This morning I tried so hard to get memtest86+ test 5 to be error free above 475fsb and couldn't do it. Had the doors wide open and 60f in the house with a 10" fan blowing in the case and no go. I bet chilling that NB is the key!

I don't want to steer you wrong but we have been seeing a lot of pws issues with the board lately and I'd feel bad if it didn't work out for you.

It's just so hard to tell sometimes and you know it could be the board too.
Have you checked the cmos battery? A good one should read 3.3v. Do you have a volt meter?

No lies there, my ocz scared tge crap out of me the day after I got it. I just unplugged all the cords and clear the caps. Then hooked it back up and checked voltages. Green across the board. If you can pick up another psu, a main brand one, even 500+ watts is good and try it out. If it powers and changes work out fine then keep it, if no go then rma the broad back 2 abit. Don't let this hender your decision getting the board as it kicks arse

I guess you don't mind the red warnings? You can disable the fan warning in the bios since it looks like your on water.
