Board Blog: DFI LanParty P35 T2R

Over at the OCZ forum, we are starting something new that we hope will be of value to the community.

Starting with the DFI Lanparty P35-T2R, every week or two we will have a new board posted blog style. Thoughts about what is in the box, how the board goes together and of course the performance / stability of the board at various clocks using various kits of ram. Hopefully this will give users a chance to see how the board runs and acts, as well as how easy/difficult it is to set up.

Tony has already uncovered a couple interesting tidbits in this first edition, check it out here: http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/fo...ad.php?t=30577

If you have specific questions, those can be posted here: http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/fo...ad.php?t=30578

Thanks and let us know what you think.

So is there any difference between the T2R and the T2RL, in terms of fundamental chipset/BIOS/power regulation differences? I could care less about 3 PCI-E slots or dual gigabit LAN until X38. =P

Looks good, Ryder. Apparently these DFI P35 boards clock RAM with the best of them.

Most major and noticeable real world change for quad cores; 4 phase conventional pwm circuit on the Infinity CPU power circuit, 8 phase digital pwm on the Lanparty, the latter being better for holding quads for benchers ie over 3.6ghz.. Expect better hf decoupling on all rails on the lanparty, meaning more smt hf filtering capacitors in all key locations..

    regards
