Thread: Asus P5K-C with G0 Q6600 + some xtreme undervolting

    I expected results like this from high end P5K Deluxe & Premium, not from the cheaper Asus P5KC. Looks like P5KC / Q6600 (G0) combination giving excellent results so far!

    hey Jeff, did you voltage mod your board? I have your old setup - p5k-c, q6600 G0, Scythe Ninja, 2gb buffalo firestix, corsair 620HX, the voltage drop on my board is quite bad at load.

    I want to run this 24/7 at max 65c at load, best I can do for now is 3ghz 9@333, until I lap cpu and get a TR

    My bios voltage set to 1.35v, idle cpuz reads 1.28v, which is not too bad, but at load it drop to 1.18v.

    just wondering what other setup in bios that can help with this vdroop or do I have to pencil mod it? I have tried voltage damper, disable and enable but same result.

    just a comment ... as this post has never been updated since 2007 ... dnt know i will get nay response or not! .. well comparing various combo boards of p35 i guess its one of best ... may be the best ... but any one who has found any comparison of asus p5q-c and other p45 hipset mobos ... and also kindly some one may plz tell me the order of intel chipsets ...
