The images that ghosty posted seem to be Qimonda IC. See how the edges are beveled.

I guess you could call it Aeneon, same thing as Qimonda.

PROMOS always has the triple indents on the bottom.

There are lots of ways to tell what IC is what just by looking at details
CPU: Intel CORE 2 Duo E6550 @ 3.6GHz w/ 1.29vcore (517*7)
Motherboard:
Gigabyte P35-DQ6
Memory:
Crucial 8500's
Video:
Nvidia 8800GTX
PSU:
Zippy 700W (fan modded of course)

Not all of them are D9s, the majority are ProMOS.

Hmm.. you guys (and gals? what?) have the same kit as this one? :

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820211174

(picture is wrong since in the picture, the ram sticks say DDR2 1200. oh how I wish...)

Anyway, I'm going to pair them up with 2 x 1Gb Crucial Tenth Anniversary. The Tenth Anniversary RAM can do

800mhz 3-3-3-8 2.2v,
1066mhz @ 4-4-4-12 2.3v
1100mhz @ 5-5-5-15 2.3v

Can it possibly match this kit or will the kit hold it back greatly?

something between 400-440 "stable".

Good solid and cheap! Probably rebadged D9GCT´s.

From everything i've read, the 10th Anni's, the Tracer's, and the non-tracers seem to be hitting approximately the same mark. The tracer's are a little better with less voltage, and hit a little higher on high voltage. 4-4-4-x at 500 MHz @ 2.1v is around average for those 3 kits. My Corsair 8500's do it too, and will do 600 MHz 5-5-5-18 @ 2.1v. Maybe you can get a good price on them they were cheaper than the Ballistix for me.
