OMG that is pure pr0n indeed.

So it means the trend continues which I had hoped for, optimal frequency/timings/capacity/price ratio: DDR1 1GB, DDR2 2GB, DDR3 4GB. Well that's how my cycle looks like anyways, 1GB on DDR1, 2GB very soon on DDR2 and I go prolly to 4GB first when it's time for me to go DDR3 which won't happen for at least 1 year+. I simply don't like giving up too much on frequency and timings picking the bigger capacity sticks which aren't that useful yet but 2GB sticks on DDR3 seems fine, but on DDR2 they don't impress me yet cuz price is also skyhigh if you want anything that performs close to 1GB DDR2 sticks.

This kit alone shows 2GB sticks won't be a prob getting very nicely optimized 2GB sticks (compare 2GB DDR3 sticks to DDR2 1GB) for nice speeds and timings and not much lower speed at all compared to 1GB sticks on DDR3. I wouldn't be so much suprised if 4GB capacity sticks shows up yet at somewhat decent speeds towards end of DDR3 area.

those appear to be the same chips that Supertalent is using in their new 1GB sticks.

Have these sticks gone retail yet?

I would like to see some 16GB capable X38 boards then to complement that.

I will be really waiting for your OC report i have the same mobo here and so far i have lots of trouble with it, it is a really early revision so that might be it.

If you could help me get support from gigabyte it would be awsome.

it's not hard to get win 2k3 server. I'm sure you could find it cheap in china.
