Really isn't fair to make that assumption till the board is actually tested by consumers. Lab results mean nothing if the retail version can't reproduce them. Quality control is also a big deal as the last few DFI boards have been suspect in that area.

Looks like they already did if that picture is correct.

perhaps it is just me, but from the pic on the first post it looks as if the ram retention brackets are getting awfully close to the first PCIe slot. Will installing a Corsair Dominator Airflow fan or similar be possible without touching the back of longer video cards such as the 8800 series?

    ...

On Asus boards this voltage is labeled as "CPU PLL Voltage".
This voltage can be adjusted between 1.5V - 1.8V on P5K Deluxe and set either to 1.5V or 1.7V on P5K Vanilla.
NOTE: This voltage is tied with the SB voltage on Asus boards so you must enhance SB cooling before raising this voltage!
On DFI 680i LT there's a feature called "southbridge dual voltage" which can be adjusted from 1.52 -> 1.83 Volts. I realise that the 680i chipset is a very different story with SPP <-> MCP layout, but still... could this be a similar story ?

well im pretty sure its got about as much space as the DFI RD600 since DFI seems to be using pretty much the same layout for slot placemnt with this board, and yes you can fit a dominator fan but the OCZ ram fan will not fit. dominator fans are the only ones ive been able to find that fit and its VERY close, i would suggest trying to find a rubber pad or some thing along those lines to go in the middle of them, but it does fit and ive been using it for a bit with out any problems

for this qx6700, I dont know, maybe also the same cooling.
coz I've tested lots of boards and quadcore, non of them can boot >495fsb with quadcore enabled.
maybe you just didn't have a CPU capable of that FSB

    but results are fantastic nevertheless

If Victor isn't capable of getting a processor that will boot higher then 495 FSB then they probably don't exist.
