I was not talking about elmor's thread.

This thread earlier said 4ghz/661/1050 and someone with a GTX had a score of 72,000 already, I think that changing it was a little daft.

    Edit : score updated (+100 points )

    8800GTX

    X6800 @ 3.6GHz , 400x9
    XBX2 i975X
    4x1024Mb C3DF 1:1 , 400MHz @ 3-3-3-5
    8800GTX @ 661/1100

Very bad mobo , it takes 1.7V MCH just to reach 400MHz FSB
I will try to mod it , 450x8 @ 1:1 should give a nice boost

I woke up early this morning and had some time to spare. Just one round as it runs too easy on these clocks

    X6800 @ 515x7
    DFI Infinity 965
    2x1GB Teamgroup OPB ed 1:1 4-4-4-10
    XFX 8800GTX @ 702/1188
    Tagan 1.1kW

    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=9208856

A bit over 3.6ghz (set 514x7 in bios) so how about a 10mhz +/- margin?

Nice score Gorod! You sure you can't get more than 400 fsb? Mine did 438 before mods. Try without 4x DIMMs. FAST board though, 450*8 3-3-3 will put you way above everyone else

Good job Elmor setting the bar at 71k. Will be interesting to see if 72k is possible!

Anyone else going to give it a shot with a GTS? I need incentive to Vdimm mod my board.

Wanna added GTS to contest, it can be faster than 2900XT

And maybe good idea to add AquaMark, it's pretty old-school too, like 3dm2001

Yah man ... i tryed everything , 2 dimms , with other memory , all possible settings but no go . That particular mobo i have realy sucks , with default MCH voltage only ~ 350MHz FSB 3D benchstable . I had a nice XBX1 before , that did 450 fsb no problem ... too bad she's dead now lol . Anyways i will mod it in next few days and will see how it goes .

Btw , nice thread for sure - thx Micutzu , spent 4 hours yesterday playing 3dmark tweaking "game" , very addicting i must say

3DMark2001 is an "art" bench.......This is the ONLY bench that you can tweak your system to the maximum coz it's system related.....When done, ALL benchies will be fast and accurate.....
Tweaking 2k1 (except LOD of caurse coz it's only for the VGA), you are sure that your system is well tweaked for everything.....Then you find your VGA's levels....

......and YES this thread IS VERY usefull and it was missed ALL this time....
    Thanks Micutzu......

I think it's better if the limits remain as established in the first post.

afireinside > OK, feel free to submit GTS scores also, i will do my best to update everything. I'd choose some clocks hard to do without mods as i didn with Ultra/GTX, just to make it a little tricky; i don't have too much experience with GTS's but i guess 641/1000 is hard enough right ?

Gorod > nice run mate, 450 1:1 will be screaming fast as the CH is already just behind elmor's killer DFI. Any gain from using 4 dimms ? Because only 2 should get you more FSB.

hipro5 > 100% true, in a week of benching 6 days is 2k1 tweaking and one day is 03, 05 and 06 benching. You're welcome about the thread, actually i wanted this thread also for a long time .

Almost all GTS should run 660/1000 but Andy suggested 600/850 so that's what I went with. Feel free to choose your own limit since it's your thread

OK, 661/1000 for 8800GTS then. Let's see the scores .

    Here's a quick 975X run for GTX class: 68953.

The board is pretty old now but the BIOS still has some nasty bugs and lacks some very important options (like Vfsb and PCi-e freq adjustments), but it's fast and that kinda makes up for it. There's still some stuff untouched, but elmor's score will be hard to beat.

Ahhh.......I forgot to add that IF you want higher PCI-E on AW9D-MAX mobo, you HAVE to feed it with over 1.9VMCH AND use a PATA HD and not a SATA HD coz you'll have freezes......Sorry.......

Great thread and lots of solid scores aleady too!
Maybe I can add some results soon. Think I have one just under 71k with 680i, when I was testing dom 10ks before. Interesting to see what platforms are faster with the clock limitations.
