Well damn should of blown my engine and got a new one at 35k miles. NOT

Overreving the engine in that sence is not there fault its yours. They won't replace it and it will cost you a pretty penny to get it working again.

well, if no physical damages in the chip, Intel must RMA it anyway.

Of course, its the new mommy and daddy syndrome. Manufacturers pay for your stupidity because they owe it to you? Well the The president can offload his accountability on us for voting him in as well. God knows we unload social accountability on the govt.

Who needs honesty when a corporation can cover for stupidity? I broke a pin on one of the many cpu's I have installed over the past four years, one pin out of hundreds of chances. I ate it. Its a keychain now.

But thats just me. My x2 3600 was hot before i ever thought of overclocking; random shut downs and high temps regardless of bios updates etc. RMA'd it . It wasnt my bad. Hd I damaged it from oc, i would have bit it.

So i am a looser? a pussified overclocker for my honesty? I dont think so. I feel like there is no other way to be. I cant do the lie thing. The fact is they allow the RMA its taken into the consideration of pricing the unit. The vast amount of users not overclocking pay for the mistake more than the enthusiast.

Honestly it works out for the free hype that comes from enthusiasts, so its an accepted practice. And its rather funny that newbs help pay for enthusiast chips. We advertise freely may as well profit from it.

1 pin broke and you didn't bother to try fix it?

What if an engine blows when its rev limited? Are engineers still going to pin it on drivers?

I don't actually know what it's called, when I break something I always try to get a new one on guarantee before I throw it away. Like vacuum cleaner you just KNOW will go busted in only a month or so, and it's only 3-4 months left of guarantee... Of course I just stick a sock in it and let it burn! Damnit, corporations making asian kids build these vacuum cleaners can afford giving me a new one!

And for your american government, I just lost all hope in you guys when you voted that Alcoholic version of Sponge Bob back in to control! What the hell were you thinking? "We'll just let him ruin EVERYTHING before we get another monkey up there? I was furios, upset and felt kind of sad, it was the first election I watched on tv, was at night here in Norway.

Also broke a pin on a cpu, just one of those things you can't hide

It's not just you, it's me too. If it's something wrong with it I go with it to where I bought it.

Pussified overclocker? If one gets respect from something it's honesty, the ones can't cope with that? F'kem!

well, I am taking about race cars... they generally let the redline get well into the floating valves rpm range before any sort of govenor kicks in, if any at all.. but if it blows in normal operating rpm areas I doubt they'll try and blame the driver.

edit: haven't you all seen Days of Thunder?? (aka: Top Car, lol)... terrible movie.. but with a very good example of the "top rpm memory" doo-dad.

what i have gathered from this thread so far:
    1. freakBYnature is a con man
    2. we have quite a few of cons
    3. people are getting upset because intel might have technology that tells them if they ran their processor OUT OF SPEC, thus causing damage wanting a new one.
    4. some of you guys need to grow up and back your responses instead of this is just BS and this is stupid. I am fine and happy they have this, killed a few processors but didnt rma them because I knew i stressed the chip out of its specified limits.
    5. freakBYnature although this is XS not PussifiedSystems, we shoot for integrity and man up when we do something incorrectly, and not try and scam a company.

LOL, gotta laugh about this... I don't use Intel at all, so when Intel finds out I'm RMA'ing the chip I don't have and DON'T give me a new one, I won't get surprised LOL

Conman? What about your president Bush? Fking biggest con there is!

Also broke a pin on a cpu, just one of those things you can't hide

sounds pretty con to me, the fact that only because it was a physical defect is why you didnt rma it

I don't have integrity about RMA'ing broken things that still "should" work. But as I understand you all get so upset about it I will stop writing in this particiular thread.. hehe... I thought it was rather funny though
