Team i4memory.com on Good Game TV Show ABC2 benching LN2

    Hi guys

I thought i'd drop in and let you know that SLI_dog, me(dinos22) and kayl were on an ABC2 TV Show shoot yesterday. The TV show we were on is call Good Game and will have a few episodes concentrating on extreme cooling. It will air in a few weeks as small segments in their standard programming.

    UPDATE!!!

Hi guys a put together a video of all 4xepisodes and did a quick edit with some photos from the even with the groove of Chillis in the background

download Team i4memory on ABC2 right here

you will need a divx codec to play it back :thumb:

shorter version of the video is on youtube as well http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErjGoxY26sg

Good Game has a website and Forum > http://www.abc.net.au/tv/goodgame/

You will be able to download the show once it airs

The way we covered the show was

    dinos22 ..... Watercooling
    kayl ..... Phase Change
    SLI_dog ..... DryIce and Ln2

Rodney was supposed to do air cooling but he couldn't make it

The exciting part for me was to bench on LN2 which was not going as planned due to lack of experience.........once we settled down a little and the right guys took their place we were able to get some ok results

Second exciting thing was that Intel sent us a CPU that isn't on the retail shelves and rarely in circulation at all...it's the new 2.93GHz Quad QX6800. >> i had to take it for a spin under water of course >>>> Results will be posted later today

Thanks to Intel for proving that lovely CPU :thumb:, Geil for RAM ,
Thanks to Corsair for PC10000 Dominator RAM and Nautilus 500 watercooling kit
Thanks to NvidiaXP (Victor) for LN2 DEWAR
Thanks to Sent1nel (Tony) for good organisation
Thanks to Atomic boys for their help deliver "benching juice" to the LN2 table
Thanks to ABC guys.....everyone was great >>> oh don't worry LN2 spillage i did in your loading dock won't hurt the asphalt hehehehehehhehehe

I will post some overclocks I did on water with the QX6800

HERE ARE SOME PHOTOS FROM THE SHOW.......kayl and Sli_dog should have some more

    SLI_dog shooting his segment

I am quietly benching the QX6800 under water while SLI_dog is shooting his segment

PREPARING TO BENCH LN2 and supposedly go for the W.R.

    LN2 Tube after benching

    The whole crew

DAY BEFORE AT MY PLACE BENCHING DICE (soooooooooo much easier than LN2 it's not funny heheh)

MASSIVE THANKS TO Victor for the LN2 DEWAR

here are some SERIOUS DROOLAGE SCREENSHOTS boys (WATERCOOLING BENCHMARKS BELOW ON Intel QX6800 Quad Core CPU)

take a note of the last one 3.8GHz 1.416V LOAD REAL 1024M WPrime at completion

Also check out the temps on my watercooling rig >>> ambient 21-25C

BTW i've never before this benchmarked wPrime lol so i have no idea if these times are useless or not but remember these were quick and dirty tests with monitoring in the background and very low speed on RAM

    3.5ghz orthos 33m and dual 32M SuperPI

    3.55ghz orthos 40m and dual 32M SuperPI

    >>> Bumped vcore to 1.45v in bios >> 1.424V Idle Real and 1.416v Load Real

3.6ghz wprime 1024M TEST 100% ALL CORES LOADED >> look at the vcore and temps

    3.6ghz wprime both screens

    3.65ghz wprime all screenshots

    3.7ghz wprime 32m TEST

3.7ghz wprime 32m LOAD > i was even taking screenshots of 32M test because i didn't think i'd be able to bench this far with such low vcore hehehe

    3.7ghz wprime 1024m TEST Load

    3.7ghz wprime 1024m TEST Result

    3.757ghz wprime 32m

    3.757ghz wprime 1024m Load

    3.757ghz wprime 1024m Load resut

    3.8ghz wprime 32m

3.8ghzw prime 1024m Test loaded at 1.41Vcore still EEEEEEK ....foolishly i forgot to take a screenshot of the result which was around ~355 points i think

walter you should know better j/k yeah we didn't really talk in THAT much detail really...........it was a really basic explanation on what's what...............watercooling is a bit easier as the director could get her head around that concept but they really struggled to follow kayl because phase isn't the easiest thing to talk about with total n00bs hehehehe

sooooo it's basically just like a fridge ROFL hahaha

oi walter it was my first experience with your benchmark.....not bad man....reminds me of Spi a little heheheh

    hey Charles
ABC is a government channel and they get a rash when someone mentions ANY brands...they used duct tape to cover brands and logos on virtually anything. One of the blokes from the show did say he may be able to help us mention the forums in question on their forum....don't know about TV show though

    Nice to see that

Overclocking appear to be more and more popular ... TV show will be a great way to show what we're able to do !

We've made a think like that at the beginning of this month during the Gamers Assembly, a ln2 public bench session transmitting in direct...

    We're waiting for the video...

Nice jobs men ! How hight did you clock you QX6800 ES ?

    We have clocked it to 5,1G 4core and 5,2G 1core under ln2 ... \o/

    Have fun !
