LOL @ Movieman.... haha!

@NJ - NJ, I don't pertain to tell you how to do your job. You do it quite well enough as it is. But the moment I saw people pissing about with colours and this, that and the other... I would have dropped my Cold Iron fist and said... 'Yer gonna get it this way... or that way... and thats final... no buts.'!
You try to accomodate too much....

Now I'll be the first one to thank you for what you have done, and I don't give a rates arse WHAT colour it is... as long as it serves its purpose. Which it does superbly. That should be end of debate.

I was reading some of the replys earlier and was tempted to post something similar to what you have here Eric. A lot of people have seemed ungratefull about the time and effort you have put into the usergroup which is in no way for your own benefit. I feel privileged to be allowed in the usergroup and want to advertise XSDC in anyway possible to see the team grow. A few, I'm afraid to say, appear to see it as something they are owed.

If I were you and I saw anyone complaining I'd simply remove them from the usergroup and cap their pm boxes at 10, maybe give them the magenta name too .

Thanks for the group anyway Eric your work has not gone unapprieciated

Eric, you could always tell FUGGER that the white would have looked better if the gray forum background was just a few shades darker,

NJ - the only mistake I can see is giving folks a choice in the first place as you are always likely to get differing opinions, being part of a member group is an honour which is bestowed by a site not us - so just settle on a colour and style and apply it - end off!!

I appreciate your efforts and I am proud to wear whatever tag is decided

I just read through and was thinking about response, but Adywebb summed up my thoughts nicely.

Give an take inch, take a mile.

The recognition, in whatever form (or colour), is appreciated. Thanks

Hey Jersey Kid.,
I was not trying to be a pain, and I should have used a few emoticons in my last post about the color.

Personally I like white, and would have been happy with it.........hell I would like to be the only White name on XS if I could get away with it.

I was playing off what someone else has said about maroon looking like a crap brown color.......never did like maroon. Dunno just doesn't look right to me :-P.

I understand the work it took to change everyones SN and I appreciate the effort, I was not trying to put you down in my post on the XC thread and apologize if that is how it seemed.

I almost am never serious about most things in life in general so take most of my posts with a grain of salt.

And besides I am from Philly............we complain about EVERYTHING!

I love the ability to have us DCers stand out from the other thousands of regular overclockers and I am hoping that by standing out we will draw more attention to us in a similar fashion to cTx. My only request is that you don't completely remove the [xc] from ALL individual as that is the ONLY thing that differentiates us from say.. another group of mods. Seriously I had no idea what the orange meant, what black meant, or what red meant, I just knew they were important people. Even if the [xc] is only on 10% of the posters I guarantee over time it will get noticed as a lot of us post on the entire forum, not just the DC section. This is about getting noticed to attract more users, I could care less about personal recognition (look at sig.. I don't care about flashing my points). Now all we need is a [xc] subforum like [cTx] so people can connect 1 with 1 very easily, most individuals will not take the time to hunt us down

You did a great job, thanks

If someone doesn't like color they can always quit and get back original forum color.

Its all good here Eric. To be honest, i wasn't a big fan of the white. It was hard on the eyes, but boy did it stand out. I really like the maroon, but it could be any color and i could care less.

Thanks for all the hard work bud!

I could not agree more. Especially with that last part. I can see it now:
SomeRandomGuy
WTF why is my name pink and I only have room for 10 PMs? YOU ALL!
I apologise if there is actually a member named SomeRandomGuy.

I personally think the tag, [XC] should be mandatory if one wants to change one's usergroup.
