D975xbx, stay away from BIOS 1473

I've been suffering from cold boot issue on my D975XBX so I keep updating to the newest BIOS update in hope to fix it.

So I updated to the newest BIOS: 1473 Dec.20. It proved to be a crappy update. It forced your vcore at default, and yes I did the OC mod.

I tried everying, removed battery, waited for an hour with power off without any success. As soon as I flashed back to 1463 it got all back to normal. I did this back and forth a couple times and confirmed it's the bios issue.

Just a headup for those who are planning to update to 1473.

I'm using bad axe Rev 305
    E6600 @3408, 1.4000V

Not sure what's wrong with my board. My vcore was forced to default as soon as I did the update.

The cold boot issue is annoying me to no end. Normally you can use standby so you never need to shut down the power, but my Perc 4e/DC doesn't allow me to recover from S3 state standby.

been thinking to 'upgrade' to xbx2, but Perc 4e/DC has compatibility issue with it.

sorry, thought it was ok, but seem to be having problems...
gonna try flashing back to the previous bios

[edit] yup, measured it with a multimeter, the voltage was locked at 1.28V with the 1474 bios

i don't suffer so much from a cold boot problem as much as a long reboot problem, sometimes it can take it around 20 seconds to reboot or start

Have not tried the 1473 BIOS on my revision 304, but I do know what you mean about the cold boot issue. It drives me up the wall
