so is that ballistix 8000 EPP on GMH or on GKX??
I'm not sure...Don't want to open heatspreader.
Gmh. At least the early sticks with the new heatsink.

1200 C4 @ 2.5v thats nice![]()
try max stable C4 with 2.5v+ 32mb
but you will need some vdimm mod =/
forget it...2.5v results are nice already hehe
Yep, I just don;t want it to run with >2.5V...I will run the cpu to 1.8/1.9V though (colder).
B/way FSB > 1750 seems to run slower in long SP1...
A looser strap maybe?Originally Posted by Dumo

How do you know that? I have this same set coming to me for a review. And I asked the media rep at Crucial what type of memory IC are on this kit and here is the reply.....Originally Posted by EnJoY

I would just like to know how you know so I could know too. With regard to your question, after further research with our product marketing & engineering team I learned that specific information about each module is really difficult to obtain.
Additionally, our engineering team told me we do not provide detailed information on the DRAM used due to the competitive nature of the high performance memory market. For our Ballistix products, we take Micron DRAM and perform additional chip- and system-level testing to ensure our products meet Crucial's demanding performance and quality standards.
Sorry I can't provide you with any more specific information than that on the issue!![]()

buy the sticks. It's how I know. And that's retail, must be retail. too much crap going around for "reviews" that doesn't hit retail.
I just recenlty purchased a retail set from the EGG, as soon as they were delivered I pulled the heatspreader and they were indeed D9GMH IC's! It can be tough to read this because Crucial stamps they IC's with a "Ballistix" logo but the stamp isn't always on target, lol!

It's tough Kraggy, I had to pull both spreaders off of one of the moduels to find one I could read but the other stick was fairly legable. I think you can saftly say their D9GMH as I only got mine about a week ago while they were very cheap! Can you see below where the "Ballistix" is stamped, does it have a little -2F?
