How about Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6700? And waiting for a few months until NVIDIA releases 8900 GTX?

About the CPU: I've read that it's better to use IntelCore 2 Extreme X6800 instead of the QX6700... My opinion is based on this article:http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2006/11...xtreme_qx6700/
GPU: a few months.... I want my new PC now :P

Should I have 4GB RAM or is 2GB just fine ? And what brand should I use because I see alot of different brands of RAM in the Extreme OC section

2 gigs is plenty of ram, seeing as XP only allows 2.75.

as for a stable oc.... 3.5ghz? would be my guesstimate.

Would this be a good watercooled setup for this system or could I add/remove/replace something with better/other products ?

Anyone knows what would be better in my case?
I actually only use it for gaming/photoshop/flash/movie editing and that kind of stuff.

2GB or 4 GB, because when Vista comes I will get it, if it's even a reccomendation to get Vista when it comes out on January..

for multitasking under Vista - me votes for Kentsfield

if you really got the $$$ and need a good PC - I suggest going for SingleStage cooling

I didnt understand of what u just said...

wtf is SingleStage cooling ? Something that will cost me 1,000's or maybe 10,000's of $$$ ?
    Kentsfield ? The QX6700 u mean ?

Would my chose RAM be ok or would anyone suggest any other RAM ?
What about RAM OC ? How would I do this, is it safe to do and is it worth it ?
I hope anyone can give me a serious advice on watercooling ?
I read an article that you can't put watercooling on 8800's ? is that true or did they mod it already?

    It is like a refrigerator.

Kentsfield is a name of core I believe. Not only QX6700.

The RAM is good. Get 4GB of RAM, but use 2GB of RAM for Windows XP. When you have Windows Vista installed, put extra 2GB of RAM, so you will have 4GB of RAM for Vista.

How would I do this, is it safe to do and is it worth it ?
Yeah, it is safe only if you know what you are doing. You should OC it if you want to OC your CPU.

I hope anyone can give me a serious advice on watercooling ?

Good luck fitting all that in a Lexa NZXT case. It's not known to be a water cooling case.

    Thanks for the answers

Yeah well I'm pretty precautionous when it comes to OC'ing so I would read and ask alot first before I'd even start with it.

Overclocking RAM is worth doing it or... ?
And as I asked before, should I take other RAM than Dominators or are they just fine because I see the extreme OC'ers have other RAM than I chose.
