I had condensation tommorow with 5-6 hours of benching . I think 775 cant insulated properly [or it's to difficult compared with 939 or 478 ]cause of those metal plate around the cpu .

Thats exactly what I am gonna do, after having problems with condensation in my last Single stage mount (only sealstring on caps en neophrene pad+donut)

I think to be on the safe side i'm going to nail polish all around the socket area on both sides, then foam tape around the socket quite a bit, and then finally grease the socket, sounds like the only really good way to keep it from producing condensation in the socket.

All the insulation stuff relly sucks - especially when replacing a chip...........

So best thing here might be to move to outerspace and keep on OCing there -no oxygen = no condensation......................

I'll ask again: Does the LGA775 mounting kit for the Vapo not come with foam for around the socket? The pictures I've seen of the mounting kit doesn't show any mobo/socket insulation

24/7 for me is with heaters and neoprene. thats why i like vapochill ls mounting kit or promy head with neoprene, sealstring works but its to dirty for me!

for bench, neoprene, nail and grease and ice all over the board

You don't grease the socket, just use the heaters and neoprene and have no probs??

Just set the heaters to 100 % = 5 Watt

And if you fell unsafe, I was unsafe because of a stupid error in the socket kit.

If you get reversion 1.2 or 1.3 of the socket 775 for Vapo LS you are ed.
I goot the newer reversion but was afraid becaus I had condensation problems, that is why I use sealstring in the retension mecanism.

And when I change cpu I just take a bit of it out and Sneak the cpu out

Use sealstring around the metal renesion socket and in the retension plate corners.

Dont need to do it at the caps, just use the neopren you revcive from asetek.

This is an interesting combination - just thought about it today and wanted to post the question if someone tried it - but You've been faster...

If this works 100% condensation free I think it's a fine solution, only Neoprene & Seal String, easy to remove and no need for grease, spray & nail polish.

Somebody else tried this combonation yet?

Just to report back on this... I just used the provided neoprene and heaters, and everything seems to be running condensation free With the processor installed I greased all around the top of the retention bracket where there's a gap between the bracket and the IHS so that nothing would form in those spots and I haven't had any probs yet... w00t!

Can someone please link to the types of materials they are using? Does not matter what country just examples of the nail polish, grease, Neopreen and spray? that they use.

At the back of my mobo I also put a heater between my neophrene (stock mach2 heater (7,2w)) which I can use as option.
I also cut out neophrene for socket area and I i also clamped neoprhene at back of mobo. hopefully is good for benching (single stage and DICE) and 24/7 SS use.

How did u apply grease inside the socket? Did u put it in the center? Or also over all the contact points?

I know whith the other sockets u just smear it all over the socket, but since the 775 doesnt have pins, doesnt the grease block the contact between the socket and cpu?

Personally for grease I apply it incredibly lightly to the socket with a paint brush, barely enough to clear the pins, then I push the cpu down, twist a tiny bit, then push down the bracket.
