    No mods - board & CPU "out-of-the-box".

Only replaced NB/SB thermal compound with AS5.

    CPU is week 24.

Holy crap. I might pull the trigger on Conroe. Been checking out and waiting for a good board. Now I just need a hacked Quad SLI driver.

Not all CPUs are created equal! I could "only" OC my e6700 to 3.5 @ 1.55v ... should have gone with an e6600

This board seems too good to be true. Would this be any more of a step from the P5W DH?

    run 1.65v

3.5 @ 1.55v isnt horrible, 4ghz on 1.55v isnt happening anytime soon on air on E6600 retail.

well it looks like this board is good for 450+FSB out of the box so it's probably worth the price premium over the p5w dh in my eyes.

and it's workstation so you know it's going to be a strong mofo too.

    Exclamation

Very stable board - no need to clock with clockgen. What is achievable is also bootable.........

Take Your time - and catch an insane E6600 doing 3.6 at least. Do not buy any rubbish.

BTW right now some CELLSHOCK are on the way to me - maybe they love my 4GHz chip and the board even more than my CORSAIRs........

I've had the Tower 120. Nice... But there are lots of nicer coolers out there.

I like build quality and effective engineering of thermalright and use the Hr-01. If you want maximum cooling the Ultra 120 is very nice with it's low weight. The Hr-05 is also a good performing/looking chipset cooler.
I've ordered home to old "Svedala" from PC-C without any problems and money left in my pocket. If you choose Hr-01 be sure to take the kit with the fan duct which you can't get here in the old country.

No no - CPU is on water, only use the stock NB/SB cooler.

    CPU is week 24.

I'm running MSI 975X P.E. Edition with a Week24 E6600 and I'm so very super duper glad that you got this O/C - it gives me hope to get a better O/C.

I found out today (some four weeks after getting my setup) that I need to put my dimms in one green and one orange slot. i.e. Channel A1 and Channel B1.... makes no sense to me.

but I'm hoping for a better O/C now, or when I get a better mobo.
