Crossfire shows some muscles in 06 :)

I'm still running my pretty messed up rigg consisting of a bad cascade cold X6800 and a X1950Master + X1900XTX. For the first time in a while ATI is showing some potential in 06. Look at the SM3.0/HDR score

    X1950Master @ 783/1143MHz (water cooled)
    X1900XTX @ 891/873MHz (cascade cold)

Next: Mousepots allover and Liquid Nitrogen.

-71C on the cards...amazing. That SM3.0 is the highest I've ever seen!
I look forward to seeing 17K fall!

I did not know you could run 1950 with 1900.

How did you do it..... Wonder if you can go the other way. (1900 CF with 1950 slave.)

    Nice score BTW.

Yes it is possible But when yo overclock in crossfire you need to change clock on the X1900 by changing bioses with preset clocks.

Thats impressive as it is now. With "proper" treatment, we will see more interesting things I hope! Knocking kingpin off the 06 throne will be quite an achievement.

I see what I see, and you see what you see. I can't make you see what I see, but I can tell you what I see is not what you see. Truth is, we see what we want to see, and what we want to see is what those around us see. And what we don't see is... well, conspiracies.

No reason why not...this is not SLI...as long as teh gpu is the same, the bios of the mastercard should automatically adjust itself to match the buffersize of the lesser card...and that's it. doesn't have to be same manufacturer, same memtype, same mem size, same memspeed...only matters that the gpu core is the same. At wosrt the x1900Crossfire might need an update to recognize the x1950 card...but i don't think so.

Of course it's good to see real confirmation...

Getting the second x1950 soon Kinc? You got the cooling...and I'd love to see some numbers from ya!
