Arrow Overclocker's Clock Generator by design in P5B Deluxe mobo ?

While installing a 40mm fan at my P5B Deluxe south bridge, noticed that it has a different clock generator from common well known like ICS series, it is a square chip near backup battery labeled CY2855ILFC

Just out of curiosity, did Google around and found out the manucfacturer is Cypres Semiconductor. Is this a well known company ?

Also noticed from few interesting results from Google which are :

Cypress Introduces Mobo Clock Gen with Support for Multiple Processors and Chipsets

Interesting quote from this page (underlined)

    Product Features
The new device offers a variety of features, including:
+ Easy configuration via hardware strapping
+ Low power consumption for laptop applications
+ Overclocking support for end-user modifications
+ Low-power differential buffers for lower noise and better performance
+ Watchdog timer with system reset for auto-reboot
Motherboard clock generator has universal appeal

Interesting quote from above page ....
...The new CY28551 device offers a number of advantages over clock solutions designed specifically for a processor and chipset combination........
...and since I was excited, headed to Cypress website, downloaded the CY28551 Datasheet (PDF) and found this at page 14 :

Please don't ask me more bout those pages, I'm not qualified for that "alien" language, just captured some interesting phrases !

Any "true" Electronic Engineer out there mind to comment or explain if this clock generator chip is special ? or its just like others without any fun part for OCer ?

All my older Intel 865G boards use cypress PLLs. Nothing great about them, atleast the ones on those boards.

Read again, this chip just released in May 2006 and was designed with the cooperation of Asus !

Just look at the your chip again, which series ?

Are you aware that 80286 is different from Core 2 Duo, even both manucfactured by Intel !

Than I would assume this chip is probably made for some clocking, Asus could have just used the ICS 9541 series but went with this...hmm.
