    eVGA 7900GT CO BIOS Swap?

I have a 7900GT CO (Stock Clocks 500/750) that I recently volt modded (vCore only).

I can do 690/825 very reliably.

However, I can not go any higher with the memory.

Would flashing this card to the eVGA CO Superclocked BIOS allow for better memory overclocks? Most are getting 1800-1900 mem, so mine seems very low.

My memory is 1.4ns Hynix. More specifically:

    Hynix
    HY5RS573225A
    FP-14 612A

    Anyone have suggestions? Thanks!!

You must have a newer 7900GT Reloaded. I've heard they dont clock as good.. but you could try BIOS swapping.

    Yes, you are EXACTLY right.

I have the Reloaded version. I didn't know they were clocking badly.

Well, a volt mod on the core took me far enough, but the memory is lacking.

I have not volt modded the memory - MANY horror stories about that, so I'm keeping it stock for now.

I mean, 825 on memory is kinda low even without volt mod... ;(

Yeah, the RAM on the reloadeds arent clocking as well because they switched from Samsung to Hynix, iirc. Sorry man. At least your card doesnt commit suicide after a month of being used like the old ones .
