Very nice board, Andre. I like the fact that higher multipliers are unlocked. I wish the P5B had that.

P5B and P5W64 are different Team in ASUS company. So I cannot ask P5B's RD to open multipliers . But I will try to ask their product manager.

Highest I've been able to run quad-SP2004 with Kentsfield (B0) is 3.4GHz. According to Asus Probe, load temps reached 83C. That was with 1.45v. Pointless for me to try any higher because the amount of VCore needed would probably send temps above 90C. Kentsfield has a Max Tcase temp of 100C. If the newer steppings run cooler, they might be able to run quad-Prime at a higher speed.

3.4GHz quad-SP2004 stable may not sound like much. But in any kind of rendering benchmark, Kentsfield will eat Conroe alive, with a lot lower clocks. That's the real power of a quad-core.

3.4 quadcore sounds like a lot to me That's very impressive. And to think in a year we'll all have this kind of power

My CPU runs pretty stable at 3.6GHz. But it's impossible to test with quad-SP2004 at that speed because the VCore needed would probably cause temps to hit triple digits. Idle temp with 1.53v is 44C which doesn't seem too bad.
