    E6600 retail (B2) + D975XBX (debug modded) won't set Vcore

Today I put my new E6600 retail chip in my Intel D975XBX rev 304 motherboard. Before I had an E6600 EA (A1) in there. I did the debug mod a while back, so I could adjust Vcore on the A1.

Well, now with the retail E6600 I can set Vcore, but it stays at defualt regardless of what I set it to. Strap fsb does the same. I'm using bios 1334, but I've tried 1304 and 10xx with exatcly the same results.

Anybody have a clue? Or similar experiences?

I have had it powered down completely, but haven't tried the maintenance jumper. It's definetely worth a try though.

I tried booting into maintenance mode as eva2000 suggested, and now at least Vcore works, so thanks mate

    However the board will not boot with fsb strap @ 1333 Mhz. I can easily boot @ 1067 + 50%, and using clockgen I'm at least 3d stable @ 3.8 Ghz ~1.45V Vcore. This is with 2x x1900xt's in crossfire and 4x corsair 5400UL's @ 1:1 422 Mhz fsb cas 4-3-3-8 @ 2.2V

Yeah i had to boot into maintenance when ifirst setup my 2nd badaxe E6600 B1 rig, changing burn in % had no effect 1067fsb + 50% on reboot was 2400mhz still. Maintenance mode fixed that problem

Not sure about your 1333fsb strap issue, try with only 2x 512MB modules ? you might need more vcore maybe ? try 1.5v vcore

    As are mine

I seem to hit a limit to 3d gaming around 430 Mhz fsb with all 4 memory slots filled. CPU is stable up to around 3.85 Ghz with ~1.45V Vcore, but I haven't tested extensively yet. I wonder how much more fsb speed I could get with only 2 memory sticks.
