I just flashed mine, bar the option for enabling/disabling the dual core getting renamed and the splash screen staying on screen long enough to see the intel logo I didn't notice any major difference.

Seems pretty good. Don't know whther my new chipset cooler also helped, but I can do at least 427 Mhz fsb with fsb strap @ 1066 now, and I believe my A1 E6600ES is what's holding me back in clocking any further. So the BIOS works fine for me.

Now I just need a better core2 duo chip

Ok guys. This is definitively THE bios every BadAxe user should get.

I couldn't get anything past 423MHz before and now, I'm running 436MHz (haven't tested higher right now).

    A1 E6600ES
Noob question here, what does the A1 stand for? what is the ES?

I've only seen them listed as E6600 previously.

    Thanks!

Will try it tonight. Every time I clocked to high and got a BSOD, next boot windows err reporting would take me to a M$ page and that said the actual cause of crash couldn't be determined, but I needed a BIOS up date that supported my CPU. So I take it the past BIOS's didn't have official support for conroe. Now we do

I like this new BIOS. Seems I'm able to squeeze a few more FSB out.

Temps might be reported more accurately as well....

Sorry, its late and I'm past my bedtime so no screenies. I've been playing with my overl:banana::banana::banana::banana:

But it looks like 5-6c lower. BIOS 1304 had me at 44c idle 62c dual prime loaded. BIOS 1334 has me at 38c idle 55c loaded. I doubt my ambient is throwing things off today. More testing needed, but it looks promising.

I'll give it a shot when I get home and see if they fixed the issues with not being able to boot with an Areca card and 2GB of RAM installed at the same time. Already tried talking to Intel tech support and they basically said I was SOL.

Hmm just flashed to 1334 bios and now Intel DCC v2.1.0003 doesn't load properly guess need to wait for next DCC version lol

see DCC temp doesn't even budge from 35C under dual stressprime load with 1334 bios loaded

Something tells me Every Noob on Earth is waiting for the v.1337 for their "Uber Conroe rig"

Modern Ram, makes an old overclocker miss BH-5 and the fun it was
