the asus 975 has the same bug. go over like 320 fbs and the system just shuts off when you exit the bios, or reboot from windows, or reboot from dos or anything.
i havent tried 2-3mhz increments yet but it still works after it shuts off, it comes right back on about 3 seconds later and everything seems ok.

AndreYang - Wondering if you could measure the height of the caps around the socket. I'm try to see if the Scythe Ninja retention rails will fit overtop. If anyone know already that be great.

Any news on the P5B and solved bugs? New BIOSes?
I know the P5WDH has DDR2-300 and DDR2-400 RAM deviders in the BIOS but the smallest devider on the P5B is DDR2-533? Are there more deviders to come in final BIOS releases?
Is there a way to obtain the pdf-manual for the P5B? I know it's not listet on the Asus site but who knows...

If I could get to 400x9 (3.6Ghz) i'd be quite happy. I'm still wondering which board is better ...P5B Deluxe or P5W DH.![]()

I'd say the 975 board since the chipsets been out longer and has more mature drivers etc.Originally Posted by Silver Bullet
I don't think that's really a compelling reason... Intel usually has pretty much the best drivers and while maybe the BIOS for the 975x chips is better .. both the P5W and P5B are new boards .. so new BIOS's for all ...Originally Posted by derektm

The i975 has the better northbridge and the P5B has the better southbridge. Most likely you want the i975 thenOriginally Posted by Silver Bullet

I had my hopes up for this board and it's price....but it doesn't look so good right now.
I saw a picture, I think here or on another forum, but the Ninja should fit just fine. Not sure about ram clearance though, I'm going with TR Ultra 120, just in case.Originally Posted by Tamerlane
