Looks incredible! Take note of the copper heatsinks as well! I am very excited for this board and I hope they include some of these enhancements in future DFI Lanparty boards.

It replaces what normally would be the voltage regulators for the CPU

EDIT: Anyone notice a lack of the P4/P8 connections?

    8-pin is right above 24-pin

P.S. I hope that in a few years it all gonna be on digital PWM.

For the idiot in the forum (me), what's the main benefit of the digital PWM? Or.. what even makes it 'digital'? Yes I read the article.

Instead of using mosfets to control CPU voltage, a chip controls regulates the voltage this allows much more stable vCore (i htink)

i always wonder how well these handle high current changes that would occur when the cpu is stressed. since it lacks any real capacitance. anybody care to explain how this is dealt with?

There are alot of ceramic capacitors there which seamed to look like resistors.
Strange thing I can`t find manufacturer of that PWM IC. Anyone has any hints about this ?

hmm so does this mean instead of hardmodding the board, in order to go above and beyond, we would need software or bios mods

From what I can tell the manufacturer is CPL, and acording to this page, it has 5 phase power

ceramic caps are very low capacitance though, and used mainly just to deal with filtering out high frequency ripple.

like it was said, alot. since now there wont be as many seperated areas for sensing and feed and output and such, since everything combined pretty much into one package.

P8 connector is there, just above ATX 24-pin connector.

    It's too dark to see.

Yea this board looks amazing, I love how they use copper heatsinks for the chipsets and how they are using an Evercool VC-RE. I think they really listen to their customers.

Though I agree with Vulgar, if it had "4x4" and a third PCI-E slot i'd buy it right away...

Does the chipset actually need active cooling?

They could've swapped the locations of the EZ switches and the debug display, tho.
You were not supposed to see this.
