The heck is up with the R2R being horribly overheated (I don't even know the name of the component, but I can tell when something has gone through more heat than it can handle).
If I got one of those I would be more interested in tightening the timings, then I would go for higher clocks. That would give a massive perf increase (in benchmarks..).

wow i think this card is awesome and if its not much more then a regular one it can be really quick!
why would you prefere that?? it would cost more money that way because its harder to build and it would have very little performance increase because 1.1ns @ 128bit bus is about 29090mb/s while 2.0ns at 256bit bus is about 32000mb/s so the difference in bandwidth is really close but im sure the overall latency on 1800mhz ram is alot faster then on 1000mhz ram.
Hell no. My previous 6800GT with 2.0ns and 256bit bus costed me more than 7600GT and is very hot and hard to OC. Not to mention 7600GT W/O OCing beats it. Well to be honest in eyecandy it`s just a little bit behind. But...just a little bit - I haven`t OCed it yet.can i say useless with 128bit memory? rather preffer 256bit memory but 2.0ns

why are manufacturers putting 1.1ns ram on 7600gt's and not 7900gts?
that would make it a 7900 GTX... and Nvidia would have kittens if anyone started selling thier top of the line card, dirt cheap.

well 1.1ns theoretically is capable of 1818mhz, while 1.4ns in theory is 1428mhz.

yes but look at my post before. anyone who is going to specifically get a 7900gt with 1.1ns will know it will oc to at least 1818mhz on mem.
assuming that the card is running at the ram's rated timings...
