Unless I missed something it seems awfully wrong to ban him. There are other people here who've posted more per day and no one cares. His posts weren't terribly low content either, no less than I've seen other people post without getting banned.

actually it was 57 posts in just a hair over 24 hours. He stopped as soon as he got to 100. He was then banned shortly thereafter.

Over 50 posts in one day and you stop on 100. Now why would you do that?

***EDIT***: Looks like the mods have been at work removing the crap he posted, hence the post count dropping. Anyhow, yeah he posted 57 times in the 24 hours prior to 9am this morning. I counted his posts b/c he had replies in damn near every forum and subforum.

He had 45 in just over 3 hours and stopped at 101. Not a single one of those 45 had any content. I don't know about his previous 57, but apparently they were done in a short time as well, with little to no content.

Important notes:

1: I got the aopen board because it had bad caps, so i've replaced nearly every cap on the board with similar value caps.

2: One of the sticks of ram is dodgy i'll mark which one, but it doesnt show up at post all the time and my dad said it may not be stable with it. consider it as a freebie. the other three sticks (3x128mb) work fine and pass memtest without errors.

Ive been a member for ages sicne december 2004, ive got 1600~ posts on Guru but i found that the attitude sucked ther sometimes with the whole "oh my pc is bgetter than yours 14 year old approach". So ive come over here hoping to learn off you guys. Ive done alot of posting in the last few days with a couple of speak freely threads but that guy really does take the biscuit.

Those 45 were included in the 57 I mentioned. I woke up just as he was in the middle of his spamming, and so I starting counting.

I've noticed the same thing about @_dud. 15 posts a day till he got 101. He's only been here for a week and a half, and posts no content. Ironically, his "favorite XS member" thread was posted after he got 101 (not a bad thread imo).

I think anybody that posts feverishly and then stops at 100 or shortly thereafter should at least be a candidate for a banning, b/c it fairly obvious what they are attempting to do, even if some of their posts have content. The mods should probably sift through these two members if they have the time.

Once again I will say, the FS section should be based off membership time as well as posts. OR open it to everyone but require a membership time quota to post in it. Never understood why you needed 100 posts just to see FS...

Well I need a ban then, I was at 87 posts or so, and there was some item I wanted to purchase, think it was a FX55 claw when they just were released... - Not 13 meaningless reply's, but, 13 in one night - in order to view sales section...
However, I dont think anybody but one.. (No wont mention who..) Thinks of my posts as spam

I think they need to change the rule. Don't grant membership until someone has been registered for six months and start no less than 10 threads with meaningful contributions to the board.

Wow, I didn't even know there was a FS section until I had around 200 posts and had been a member for a few months....never scrolled down this far back then.

I honestly think that 'final stretch' of ~15 is okay to accelerate through (but still not spamming--find something useful to say).

Maybe there's some way to automate a maximum recent post per day limit for allowing FS access? Eh, IDK what I'm saying, I can barely think straight, damn flu.
