Tony, since you're the only one I can ask regarding this...

I have a question regarding latest beta (3/29) from Oscar for DFI NF4 Ultra-D/SLi/SLi-DR... Do you have any idea why div150 is not selectable in BIOS anymore with Opteron 146 and multi x10? It's just funny how it's there in 6/23, then not in 7/04, then back again in 11/14 and again, not in 3/29

I'm taking advantage of you appearing in this thread once in a while...

BTW, thanks for another modded BIOS, although I have not used any of them

I want to add a question to the one of bachus

what is the FSB KeyIN option in the 3/29 BIOS?
    Code:
     9. Change FSB option to keyIn method.
and how does it work? is it a hotkey to set a different FSB?

    My Personal Records:

    Infineon BH-6 (1x256MB) at 290MHz [2-2-2-5] at 4.0V // CPU-Z
    // PIC
    Infineon BH-6 (2x256MB) at 270MHz [2-2-2-5] at 3.63V // PIC // BENCH 1 // BENCH 2
    Kreton UTT (1x512MB) at 270MHz at 3.35V [2-2-2-5] // CPU-Z // PIC
    Infineon BH-6 (4x256MB) at 270MHz at 3.8V [2-2-2-5] // CPU-Z // BENCHMARKS

hey tony, any chance of diff "special vcore %" options on the NF4 bios?? an 8% and 16% would help me out wonders, since i run overclocked with CnQ enabled. thx.

this just means that you can enter a number to set the FSB instead of having to cycle through all the values to get to the one you want

    THANK YOU!

Two questions, what exactly is the odd divisor correct, not sure its what i think it is?

And for the dram drive strength they are listed as "weak" and "normal" but then there is one that is "level 7"?

Added hidden options for VE and EX Vdimm to over 4V and chipset to 2V
Relaxed all timings as per BTA bios files for ease at boot, CPC2T etc, should be boot friendly with most dimms.

TRAS may report 0 on reboot, set optimised defaults and reboot back to bios and it should set 8.

I have the Venus loaded here and its clocking real nice, remember this is 3rd party so no warranty off me, DFI or OCZ, use at your own risk.

Level 7 is Weak 4, i have corrected this

Key in method is so you key in the fsb you want and it will show this, remember to have key lock engaged on your keyboard.

150 divider, seems to be CPU related I think, i will look into it.

Remember the registers that were reserved for 150 may be used on some CPU's for the new upclock ratio's now

Harwware limied m8, so no can do. Remember the I/O chip handles these options and it only has a fixed amount of registers it can tweak per the voltage regulator that is used ont he board. Only a vdimm mod will get you whaat you need.

It slows down your ram by altering the way it rounds what dividor your cpu will use to calculate the ram speed.

I have a P4P800 motherboard and I would like to mod my bios for allowing me to use smaller vcore for my P4 2.4c (1V or below). I want to make a silent pc and decreasing vcore (in combination with smaller FSB) would allow passive cooling). The bios can be found at http://dlsvr01.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/...0/P4P81019.zip . I opened my bios with AMIBCP 2.25 beta and I saw that there are strings even for 0.835V, but I have no idea how to modify the bios.

So basically it allows you to further tweak the divider you use?

Sorry im not the sharpest tool in the shed.

Any example would really help and be much appreciated.

look for the really early builds of the bios for your board, they allow for some real low Vcore. The only issue is the mosfets get pushed real hard and may blow...tyrust me i did the same thing with a celly mobile a good while back running 1.1Vcore

I corrects the rounding off of the ratio's you have to use to work out your ram speed. It seems to go to the oposite ratio next instead of theusual one it uses which is usually the next ratio up.

We found from tests it is like the 180 mode if running 200fsb, BUT from running a 250 ratio it seems to drop you inbetween the 250 and the 233

How "early" must be the bios? The first bios version I can find on Asus site is 1009, and I still can't use lower vcore. Also, my motherboard came with version 1012. Is it safe to put something much "early"?

Tony, I want to take this time to thank you. I have been reading this forum for a few days and had actually downloaded all 3 versions of the 406BTA bios but never did give you a thanks. I finally flashed it yesterday. I had a hard time posting but finally got it going after a CMOS clear. I really don't see any change from any other bios on my system but I do thank you for your time and effort. It isn't doing any harm so I am going to keep it on my Ultra-D. I am using an even divider so can't even fool with the new divisor option but we will see what happens when I get my 2GB PC4000 EB Plat kit next week. Thanks again.

CFX3200 bios that I tweaked a little. DFI released me to post this as a 3rd party BT bios so here it is.

Relaxed timings, 2T at default and pretty boot friendly, tweak it for speed as usual.

If you already downloaded this file download again and overwrite the old one, i have updated this file with more fixes.

Tony, have you reworked any Epox bioses? I have a 9NPA+ Sli that is lacking a couple of settings compared to my DFI Ultra-D.

Is it possible to add a 180/200 memory divider. There is nothing between 166/200 and 200/200.

Also, can a Tref value of 1.95 be added. Currently there is 15.6, 7.8, and 3.9 only. Thanks...

Untweaked 037 bios for the DFI CFX3200, be sure to set MAL and RP manually to at least 5.5 and 7 once its flashed and you must manually set TREF also, do NOT leave it at AUTO.
