    IHS removed?

I wouldn't mind 2.9 on water, honestly I don't think I'll be finding anything else that great right now, I'm waiting for some results from Flickerdown.com on their current stepping and tankguys' new shipment doesn't seem that great

Hmm, given that the stepping does perform simliar to yours, I think I'd be able to squeeze some more performance out by taking it off

    Why no more IHS off?

I won't be selling mine, it'll be pulling me through college and by the end of that time it'll be worthless

I use phase and I actually need something in between the head and the DIE or the heatload is to concentrated. Plus i just never needed to pop the top except on one sandy that was realy smoking hot.

Week carries far more significance than stepping. 0602 isn't nearly as good a week from what i've seen.

    Hmm
Flicker down has 3 LDBHE 0604CPMW
TankGuys have some LDBFE 0607 XPAW

Haven't seen many results from them, I was offered a 0601 (I think)from someone on Anandtech but he refused to tell me the stepping until I purchased it... and had 1 heat

I spent about an hour today searching for 060x 3800+s

0601 is the best, 0602 has few results except a couple mediocre ones, 0604 has no results anywhere, 0605 got a couple ok results, 0607 seemed good but not great.

Not to hi-jack the thread, but speaking of the Ultra-D . . . is it really that much better than the Expert?

lol, are u THAT who posted to "seriously give the right offer" to the person who would sell him an x2 3800 that met his "2.9GHz criteria", only to have me send all my validated Prime proof and u still won't even send me a ballpark figure of an offer?! I could care less if u had 1000 positive Heat; stop playing games and wasting people's time.

btw> I'm curious of others TCaseMax readings, especially those getting monster OC's. For me I have values of:

    TCaseMax: 71C
    TDP: 89 Watts !!

There seem to be 2 flavours of 0607, BF and BH (unless it's a typo). Blue078 has a BH, it appears.

LBDHE 0601 UPMH here, "N" chip.
Priming at 295*10 1:1 atm on 1.55v running on DD TDX and Dual 120.1 BIX's

Validated to 3.2ghz on 1.65v, but not stable at all.
Hoping to get it under Phase at some point, Mach1 needs some work - dont think it'll cope with the heatload. Have a Chilly DICE/LN2 tube sat here, so might have to "resort" to that
    .:. X2 @ 2.9 .:. E6600 L628 @ 4.73 .:. AB9 @ 512 FSB .:. E6300 @ 100% OC Stable

LDBHE with CPMW or TPMW is the king for sure
