    Chew*s shootout x1900xt versus x1800xt

Lets give the x1800xt a huge advantage over the x1900xt and see how it does.

X1900xt platform = 10x305 x2 3800 on mach 1,BBATI x1900xt default clocks default settings. 2x512mb corsair pc 3200 UCC @ 3-3-3-8 ddr 510, sapphire pure innovation. Default clocks and default settings in CCC. No major windows tweaks.

    X1800xt platform =
10x305 x2 3800 on mach 1,BBATI x1800xt 823core/981memory DD brass top chilled water copper ramsinks w/ delta fan blowing. 2x512mb corsair pc 3200 UCC @ 3-3-3-8 ddr 510, sapphire pure innovation. Every window tweak possible and every ugly setting possible in order score the highest.

    Who will win?

I think its safe to say since that the #1 3d06 x1800xt that waiting for price to drop and getting one is pointless............
Then i flashed to the x1900xtx bios and really emabaressed the x1800xt.....

I see what I see, and you see what you see. I can't make you see what I see, but I can tell you what I see is not what you see. Truth is, we see what we want to see, and what we want to see is what those around us see. And what we don't see is... well, conspiracies.

Indeed, but 06 and 05 are very shader heavy, games will be faster on the X1800 at those clocks.

yes agreed hicks. I ran 3d05 for comparison last night and it told a different story. The x1800 at max OC's barely edged out the x1900 xt flased to xtx. let me throw some #rs at ya's as im running out of FTP space. stupid free.bmp to .jpg converter licence ran out. Ok future mark is down will post them later......

Doesn't seem to work on Win2k..........anyway here's the link to my 3d05 run with x1800xt. it was a poor run due to my memory and the bench being bandwidth limited but its the same setup for both cards so here it is.....

http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=1733771 <---x1800xt same specs as above runs.

and here's cut and paste from the orb cuz im lazy for x1900xt w/xtx bios

    Score: 11507
    Date: 2006-01-28
    CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 3056 MHz
    GPU: Generic VGA
    N/A / N/A
    OS: Microsoft Windows 2000
    Res: 1024x768@32 bit

So the X1800xt beats it by about 50 points with it's legs fully stretched out.

Fixed.... Also forgot to mention 1 variable which i personally think is negligable as I couldnt top my own x1800xt single card score with it and actually got 8 points less with it. Note the motherboard models........which is why there is a discrepancy with the cpu clocks in the first comparison........
