What cooling is Macci using on his Dotham at present ? Maybe he's just experimenting at present and getting a feel for things ?

    Regards

These new cards with the dothan 780 are the .
    They sure are

Hopefully we will be able to see soon how one of these things will perform in '01 with a fairly high clocked FX for comparison.

Macci Did the XT stock cooler peform better than the VF700-cu ? I'm wondering that for quite a wile. I think i'm gonna sell my XL and get an XT instead.

My Zalman canot hold my XL on verry low temps. @ 625 mhz and 1.150v its gets about 70c.

    2k1 nature 560 fps Lod bias + 3.5?
Its an ATI card not nVidia.

    Antec Phantom for OC PSU?
Only PSU I had which didn't require removing it from a case

I'll go with OCZ 520W and higher Vdimm volts next. At 3.3V the system maxes out at around 255-256MHz FSB 2-2-2-5. Hope to get it past 260 with higher 3.3-rail. 262x12 should be enough for 45k 2001 score.

    Great stuff Macci

Looks to me that the new ATI card will dominate considering the basic gamer doesn't use LOD tweaks.

Looking forward to seeing these cards in crossfire mode.

    Very nice scores.

Now we just need to find the vgpu mod for these thigns as well as a vdd/vddq mod to see if we cant get daul 1ghz stable.

Macci, you got any high clocking FX's to compare to the Dothan?

  17. #67
System scores are looking great for the low cpu clocks
I am really glad to see that. Looks like the ati drivers are working well on that platform macci.

Awesome. I don't think you could break 50k with a single card, but 2x1800XLs in crossfire should do it without breaking a sweat.

Why use vmods when voltage can be adjusted by software

45k with only 3150mhz on the cpu, i would say 50k is possible

Nice to see your back Macci. Those scores look really good. Cant wait for the full on benching. U need a retail 780 chip. When is the crossfire benching coming?

read the thread, macci suggests that he feels like some sort of resistor mod may be neccesary to get the higher vcore stable as max bench stable seems to be lower then expected.

    Macci,

Can you post some Doom3 (opengl) and Fear benchmarks (DX9+)? This would make great references for us who game.

    Thanks
