Good to know ATI has its work cut out then.

As for the presentation, after the intro stops, there is a strip of colored line on the right side of the flash presentation where you mouse over to get more details for trademarked technologies such as Xilleon etc.

Also, first evidence of ATI"s OFFICIAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF NEX GEN RADEON Product Line:

And apparently, the R520 should come standard with it. I just hopes its not another AIW line

My GF is a ATI FanGirl, and she would kill me if I got the 7800GTX :lol well I'm getting, and I guess you won't be seeing me unless your watching the news lol...Anyways she will not get off the fact that ATI is going down the tube as like Intel with there dual core (IMO) cause they have there cores connected over the FBS and not the rod system like AMD...ATI = teh suck for now, but when the crossfire is utilized then it may be comeing back, but till then it needs to work on those 3.0 SM, and RMD...For now me = AMD / nVidia Fanboy and my gf = AMD / ATI fangirl...I mean comeon you have to pair a long name with a short name :lol

    Preview: Avivo

Beyond3D and Hexus.net published complexed preview of this system`s new generation and it`s capabilities.
Also some words about CrossFire :

X800 and X850 only integrated a single link TMDS transmitter, hence a display limitation of 1600x1200 @ 60Hz; with all of the next generation graphics chips guaranteed to support two dual link TMDS transmitters if the next generation Crossfire uses the same master/slave with compositor system then just using one of the TMDS transmitters should mean the maximum resolution of the slave image could go up to 2048x1536 @ 85Hz and ATI only need include a dual link DVI on the master card and these higher resolutions could be achieved with Crossfire.
So I guess all those complaints about ATI`s next gen is all just cheap-chat.

Cooper, this is new info, but on a topic for which a thread is already running

    --Threads Merged--

Thx for posting the new info, though. I just hope they have Avivo in mainstream cards

    Yes:

With all (515,530,520) of the next generation graphics chips guaranteed to support two dual link TMDS transmitters if the next generation Crossfire uses the same master/slave with compositor system then just using one of the TMDS transmitters should mean the maximum resolution of the slave image could go up to 2048x1536 @ 85Hz and ATI only need include a dual link DVI on the master card and these higher resolutions could be achieved with Crossfire.

Doesn't mean it will be implemented....I think perkam is concerned about these features not making it into non-AIW cards.

    Avivo is not AIW.

    Re-read Dave quote carefully.

Regardless, the implementation into cards is the key....that's what perkam seems to be concerned about--will it be in every card? Or just at a premium in a select few?

Well, it looks promising. I hope I get one of my own fairly soon to try...we might actually see a decent VIDEOCARD instead of a VIDEOGAMECARD. But just looking at it...and thinking of the price...makes me cringe.

And they also take up PCB space and are often impossible to fashion a cascade to (the card in general). I'd rather have more power circuitry and have external dongles optional.

If I had one I would absolutely not use it....my 2405fpw has composite (yuck, but good enough for TV) for TV (I use a VCR/DVD combo player to translate--a Comcast tuner was more expensive).

I have a $150 PCI tuner Card I think that will take care of all my TV needs.. it's just wasted space on a graphics card...
