    Great review !
Now I think everybody will make their minds to TT. With a little adjustments it performs very good - and is cheaper thought.

Wow, a 6C drop with a better fan? That's something new....very good to see though!

Surprised to see the 9500 beat the stock BT by 2C though

EDIT: before people call me blind, I'm sourcing my numbers from MBM where it lists the max CPU temps since the puter was turned on.

Yes, the more air you can stick through the BT the better.

I just ran a 2900Mhz @ 1.65v on my Fx-55 with Super Pi 16M and because I had more airflow and lower ambient ( 9C ) the max I got was 35C on the core, which is 10C less than Dani.

    Regards

I know the more air the better , but wasn't there a thread or a series of posts that showed that adding a higher CFM fan really didn't gain more than 1-2C?

That depends on the thermal load... x2 procs I found little diff personally with a faster fan...but it was still 2 or 3 c

So the higher the load, the lower the benefit? That's counter-intuitive.

counter intuitive? with the size of this thing? radiating heat in every direction? Maybe it is.. but that's what happened.... as usual I'm not a professional reviewer and can only share my own results...your mileage may vary.

I don't follow...you're saying that it doesn't cool as well because the power density is lower? Interesting....I might have to pick one of these up as well as an Opty 146.

No I'm saying a faster fan didn't make as much difference with a loaded dual core as with a loaded single core chip. I have no idea why. Maybe I was too drunk.

That is somewhat disturbing, but at least it's something that can be fixed with a little time and some elbow power

I think it's also very important that this test was run outside a case. I'm sure the performance numbers will be very different once those heatsinks are in an enclosed space...

After been waiting so long for the new Zalman cooler results, i disagree totally the way they were commercially pre-showing it, respecting to his performance.
