    Same problem with my JR, PI is fine at high FSB but long term is not possible. Running OCCT it usually errors out at the 4 hour mark at the longest.

    Well, I finally managed to get some semi-stable settings for 7x600.
    i've been Priming for one hour and a half now

    Only downside is that I have to set 'Enhance Data transmitting' and 'Enhance Addressing' both to Normal, which has a rather large impact on bandwith and latency. Overall it's even lower than running at 500MHz and both set to Fast or AUTO.
    So allthough it seems to be stable for long term use, it's not very interesting compared to my 500fsb setting for 24/7 use which give more overall performance.

    I think reviewers should be more conservative instead of shouting that the
    P45 T2RS plus is every overclockers dream with setting a 600MHz bus. They should first test it for long term stability before they make such a statement

    Dfi Lp Dk P45-t2rs @ 4.5ghz Ddr 1186

    Here's my new daily overclock all but I'll put her on water & get RAID going when I change cases with my server later next week.

    I reckon I could lower the NB voltage a click or 2 or maybe even more if I dropped back to the 333 strap.

    P.S Sorry about the BIOS version typo in SG

    Thanks bud,

    I am more worried about the vcore with this CPU its a low vid hot one but it has run 24/7 on water for a couple of months so we'll see

    My OCZ's are the old proper D9 ones they were rated at 2.35v + - 5% when I purchased them. OCZ later revised this to 2.3v max & now there new kits are 2.1v max. I always cool them well too.

    Code:

    I don't run my main/play rig 24/7 anymore I now have a home server made up from the dead for that. Also XP & Vista now boot to desktop much quicker these day.

    Okay, I didn't read every post, but I did search them. Anyone have a T2RS with a Big Typhoon VX mounted on there? Any clearance issues?

    I have serious problem here. I have non plus version and did 600MHz FSB at first run with no extra voltages (all def. except vNB = 1.4V and vram at 2.2V). That's pretty nice result for non plus version BUT I can't pass over 400MHz stable now. Tried with 4 kit's of RAM, flashing BIOS, different settings than that for 600MHz (much higher voltages) and so on and so on but nothing happened
    I really don't know what it can be except crappy board. I have had much mobo's but never had problem like this one. Sometimes I can't reach the same FSB but that difference is in 10-20MHz not in 200MHz. I'm really confused...

    Was 600 stable in the first place? I highly doubt it if you used stock voltages..

    Theres a fsb hole or a bit that dont run too nice (you choose) between 400 & 450fsb. It depends on what memory divider you are on as to how big the hole is 1:1 I think the hole ends about 420~425fsb, try 450fsb & see what happens.

    Of course not, just finding max fsb but I stopped because it was too late and I left the searching for tommorow but day after I couldn't reach over 400MHz.

    Yes I know that and I already tried that.
    400 -> boot normaly, stable
    420 -> boot screen, crash
    430 -> no boot
    450 -> no boot
    470 -> no boot
    500 - > no boot
    That speeds are with different voltages but no success. Divider was 1:1 but I tried other also and as you see, no success. Very weird
    As I said, I have a lot of experiences with mobo's but that looks like ready for RMA.

    My review is live now (for the JR), I think it should be more representative of a common retail board as it did not come directly from DFI.

    Interesting read. I agree this board is not that easy to get high fsb overclocks out of the box. The auto bios settings on my TPower I45 allowed for a faster overclock experience when it was first new to me. The DFI LP JR and its detailed bios settings do seem to require a longer learning curve.

    I've had my board for a little over a month now and yesterday it started acting flaky with fluctuating VID settings on my E8600. I tried a different power supply and flashing to different bios but it didn't seem to help. I swapped over all the components including hard drive and O.S. to my TPower board and so far I'm not experiencing any further problems. The LP JR is now resting without a battery. I'm going to have to go back and investigate some more in a few days.

    I never did get to do long term 24/7 (reasonable voltage) stabilty testing on my LP JR. When you were doing your fsb 500+ 5hr OCCT tests were were you running "mix" or a combination of all three?
    Ryzen 9 on the test bench... Sometimes older generation/tech as well.

    OCCT Mix 5 hour. I got to 4 hours a few times but not further than that. Took me 3 days of work to even POST @ 500 lol, had to have the perfect skew/gtl mix and was not possible without adjusting the hidden BIOS settings.
