Finally, "got the stable performance at 3.6 MHz

After dozens of changing the frequency and voltage

I got a stable performance at 3.6 MHz

    Before I wasnt able to go more than 3.37 ( 375 X 9 )

and after many tests i found out that the North Bridge is the problem

it become hot to the point that i cant touch it

    So. i orderd 2 thermalright HR-05 for ( S & N ) bridge

and i placed 60mm on both

and i placed them on the mobo , after removing the stuck heatsink

    and this is the result

    I hope to be useful

Run orthos, TAT doesn't search for errors and only fire up the CPU.

I have a question for you, how are you cooling the voltage regulators now? (the heatsinks that were near the CPU socket)

I like those smaller fans on your HR-05, nice and clean set up! I have a Nexus 80mm fan on mine, kind of clunky looking. HR-05's are sweet, eh?

where did you get the Ultra 60mm fans? I tried to find them on ZZF and Newegg and Xoxide but had no luck.

If you could please tell me. Thanks!

My E6600 is also week 32B. I can do 3.6 at 1.35v, 3.7 at 1.45v (Orthos blend) and 3.82 at 1.5v. (small ffts). They seem to be nice low voltage clockers.

    Thanks koc!

Will do this modification to my Striker Extreme since everytime I lower the NB voltage, I get more stability and longer testing time with Orthos.

Too bad I will have to get rid of that pretty heatsink roller coaster :P
