    Modding a Scythe Kaze Master

    Hi all,

I recently picked up a Scythe Kaze Master 5.25 fan controller. This is the Scythe website link.

Here is a blow up pic:

    Here is mine:

It's a great fan controller--minimal and functional. But its too reflective for my needs. I needed a brushed aluminum look. Luckily, there is a brushed aluminum faceplate hiding underneath!

A little bit of cosmetic modding, and here is the result:

Rather than repeat myself (I did post over at the ocforums), here is a link to my thread on all the details of this little changeup:

I like the idea but somehow the color just seems off with the rest of the case...

I looked at this post only a few weeks ago, and now that I have my Kaze Master and want to remove the faceplate to take 1/16 off of each side, that abit forum post won't load . Have no fear though, they changed their Abit USA domain to uabit.com, abit-usa.com apparently wasn't nearly obfuscated enough, I guess it's still better than http://www.abit.com.tw/page/uk/index.php though. It's always nice when technology companies have websites that have some noobish design or administration.

So anyway the working url for this forum post linked to is http://forum.uabit.com/showthread.php?t=138572.
