    NEW EK Res's

    EK have just release there new range of EK res's with the modified bottom part to stop the cyclone effect with powerful pumps.




    These will be in shops from next week and follow a new sizing guide 150, 250 and the new 400mm versions.

    For existing customer the spare bottom part will also be available so you don’t need to replace the entire res.

    i wonder if modified bottom would do away with the vortex. maybe when they do become instock you'd care to demo for us and take a pic?

    Great new`s,i just bought 2 200 EK res`s so i`ll keep a eye out for these new bottoms

    Yeah I just bought 2 200's myself to complete my second loop about a week ago but I kind of like the cyclone for aesthetic reasons. Doesn't seem to really affect anything nor do I hear water sloshing around.

    depends how big it is.
    i got an Apogee, MAze4, Thermochill 120.3 and a DDC 10 watt.

    my cyclone was so big that it pulled a hell of alot of air into the loop.

    WIll have to mail a few dutch shops to check if they will be selling the bottom part.

    I bought a 150 this week. The bottom doesn't look like that, just a small hurdle. Really not too happy if this is a known issue.

    For a normal EK barb the length from the nut to the tip is 15mm or 5/8's of an inch. What is the length for the shorter barb?

    The fitting spreads out from block surface 12mm
