Well that is exactly what I am after as well. I already compared the non modded 85.96 (original) drivers with the modded 85.96 (SLI) and it show some changes but I don't know how and if we can replicate this on the new drivers.

Oh that you can forget with these old drivers, then really the newest drivers need to be patched/modded... Cause NVIDIA has split up the drivers since the 8800 series.

This leads me to believe that Big_Sam is no longer modding SLI drivers? (making it necessary for us to reverse engineer his mod and do it ourselves?)

Oh yeah indeed... I wanted to work with him to get this done, as I am very much interested by this and since I am already modding BIOS's. ;-)

No, as the 8800 series has separate drivers and the hacking of the 9x.xx series isn't yet successful.

I'll be happy when the 9x.xx driver set is modded. It still seems odd running older drivers, although I guess there is no real reason to "have" to have newer drivers when they work fine.

Euh, well I see a big reason as the new drivers are faster and do fix quite a lot of bugs and stuff encountered with the older drivers and with newer games. So really there is a lot of added value to get 9x.xx version supporting SLI on the 975X chipset.

Is there a time frame on when the 9x.xx drivers for any chipset will be out?

I really appreciate all the work that is being done because I do not want to have to get rid of my 2 7600GT's right now. I am experiencing a lot of crashes when I am playing BF2142 and I am wondering if it might be the old drivers.

Yes, if you just add the lines for the GTO in the ".inf" it does works, just like for the 7950 GT. If you need help on that let me know. :-)

On the other hand if anyone here is a developer you may want to consider helping out the Nouveau project which is looking to make an open source implementation for nVidia drivers. While the project is linux centric it is open source and that means porting the drivers to Windows is a very real possibility.

    http://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/

That portability largely depends on the interest people have in doing something like that.

    Hi everyone,

    Count me in!

I tested my motherboard, PF5 Extreme, SLI worked with twin 7300GT OCs, but I have to return the cards 'cause I borrowed them. Now I bought 1 7300GT and I plan to get another one.

    Imagine life without Intel 386...

    Hi All,

Is there a mod patch to enable SLi on V96 or higher, so as to enable the G80 (8800 series) as I have two 8800 GTX's and am wishing to run in SLi.
I will even pay money for this patch if it works successfully.

Anyone interested please email me: Dam001@optusnet.com.au

Any updates at all on the 9x.xx drivers? Would be nice to have something recognized at futuremark and I'd also love to see if it improved performance at all.

    Hi All,

I need to know where in the registry the nvidia chipset checker places itself.
If anyone can provide me with this, I should be able to finish off a mod I am working on for V96.89 Forceware (therefore all cards upto the lastest 8800GTS/GTX will be enable within SLi on the Intel 975X chipset

    Thank You

P.S. Thanks to all who have been helping on this patch with me
