Asus P4P800 Deluxe Droop mod - Alternate Points/SMD Grabbers

I still haven't taken the time to do the droop mod, but I really want to now. I just got a SL6Z3 that does 3.5 at 1.625 in bios(idles 1.680, load 1.55-1.6). The voltage fluxuations really are keeping me from my potential. I saw http://www.malvescorner.com/p4c800.htm . I was wondering if there any any alternate points for the p4p mod, because on the p4c mod those alternates look much easier to solder.

I was also wondering if it is possible to use smd grabbers? The reason i ask is because the mod here: http://metku.net/index.html?sect=vie...p800/index_eng

Says he didn't solder to the legs, but to easier points. The ADP3180 is apparently the chip that controls the droop. Has anyone else used smd grabbers for this? I was just curious.

Check Malves' website again. He has updated it and put pictures of the mod I did on my P4P800. It's basically the same one as in the www.metku.net site, I just used a fixed resistor because I didn't have a 50k variable laying around handy.

Yeah I saw your pictures, I just wanted to know if SMD Grabbers are possible though because I suck at soldering, I used SMD Grabbers for my VGPU/VDD/VDIMM Mods, but I guess I might just have to take a risk now =/.

yeah i think hellfire can too.. but i really dont want to have to pay for shipping, and be without a computer. ill practice on something first, now i just need to find a 50kvr or a 28k resistor somewhere.
