    Oblivion FPS cap at 50?

Seems my frames per second never goes above 50. Like it's some magical cap. No, vsync is off (and is 75Hz anyway). Ideas anyone? Running stock .ini file for now....

System used is in sig, everything else runs great.

try checking in dxdiag under the directdraw override (last tab) and see if it might be set to 50, or if not, try setting it to 72. Total shot in the dark.

    mine too.

i'm having around ~120 fps in dungeons (indoor levels) so the fps are definately not capped

    but another thing:
did someone compared the forceware 84.21's with the 84.25's or 84.43's in oblivion? it's said that the .25's increase the performance of oblivion - is that true?

Yes it is. The 84.25 drivers are the best.

Same here - using an X1900XTX with 6xAA and 16AF I was getting 170 - 190 FPS indoors and about 75 FPS outside using the newest version of Fraps.
