    LOOK PLEASE NEED KV8Pro VDIMM

ive not had much luck getting a modded bios for 3.2vdimm so im gonna do it the good old way. ill also do vtt.
what vr would i need and would i need a fixed resistor?
im think if 200ohms is used for vtt then 1k should be enough for vdimm.
heres a pic i got from the vtt thread

i really need this mod to do 250-260fsb so i can take some of the work off my card in benches. (got 12753 03marks and i want 16k) thanks very much

Here is the pin that controls Vdimm output/sensing. You can see a resistor and an empty space below it that are both reading Vdimm it appears.

Someone do a connectivity between those places and that pin to see which, if not both, places are connected to that pin. The mod will be easy from there.

I am not the HellFire that writes bios files. I work strictly on voltage modifications.

you mean the resistor and the pads to the above left of the pin which read 2.62? ill check it when i turn my comp off next. tomorrow im gonna buy the stuff for vtt and vdimm as well as vgpu.
as a side note, my dmm doesnt doo beep check, dont know why. its got the setting but it doesnt beep even on a metal surface 1cm apart
    thanks guys

ok done. pin#4 at that orientation reads .7ohms i guess thats continuity.
i tested it with the silver resistor
i couldtn check any more cuase it was in my case. im thinking of maybe not having a case anymore cuase its hard to work on board and also hard to put fans on dimms

    got a better way?
im having no luck on the vtt mod, tried it cats way and hipro5s way, and never got above 1.3v. before i started the mod bios read 1.45vtt, whats up?
im reading this from the wires connected to r19, ive removed it and soldered onto the pads, but no voltage rise. also i cant keep my board powered on for longer than 10 seconds. ishould i put my cpu in, its just an empty board now

UPDATE: vtt successful! cat your way worked! i guess there was a bad connection or something. so now im gonna do vdimm. i think this would be a better way:

Sure you don't have to remove the resistor and replace it like the IC7?

i don't know, this is my first vdimm mod. i didnt do it to my 8rda3+ cuase it involved trace cutting.
it may have to be done by removing the resitor, (which measures about 680ohms) then soldering a wire to each pad and to the VR, then another from the vr to ground
once ive done these mods ill make the first ever KV8 Pro vmod guides

You may have to remove that resitor. It reads 680ohms but that is in-circuit, you need to unsolder it and check resistance. If the circuit requires decreasing resistane to increase vdimm, then you can simply solder a trimmer to each side of that resistor and lower reistance. If its anything like the IC7 mod tho (which i think it will be) you will need to remove that resistor and start at low ohmage and raise to increase voltage. Anyway, unsolder that beast and take a reading

ok will do, but i ahte how these resistors are so small, to remove the vvt one i just burnt it then scratched it off with a multimeter probe so i dint risk buring the mosfet. it turned to dust. ill have to be more careful this time

Vdimm mod figured, thx HF for pointing out the res, i couldnt have figured the mod w.o ya :P Post some pixors reject. Basically, remove the resistor that HF outlines and add a 1K VR in its place. Lower resistance for more volts.

what are you trying to say? When you didn't do the Vtt mod, your Vtt will drop again to 1.3 levels when you set Vdimm above 2.8V in GURU software.
Do the Vtt mod and you will get Vtt between 1.5 - 1.6V when you set Vdimm to 2.9 - 3.2V in GURU software.

reject, mind asking you, i'm having same post codes when i don't have the 12v 4 pin connector from the psu connected. Are you sure it is not the CPU ?
Because i had a working cpu from a friend of mine and i think it died on that motherboard! Well at least it was dead when i send it to him back to test it
My motherboard is new and i've tried two cpu's so far, both with same results and the second cpu which i got today i hope it didn't killed that one as well!

no, i bought another cpu and put it in and it was the same.
or are you saying these boards kill cpus? if thats true, then abit is well and truly in the gutter, im gonna give them such a whipping

Yes that is what i'm saying m8.... i'm w8ting reply from the store i bought the second mobo. If they say that the cpu is dead then NEVER ABIT AGAIN FFS!.
Better try your new cpu on another mobo to see if it still working
    Because both of mine didn't!

And to be honest if that motherboard is killing the cpu's then how we can claim our money back for the cpu's from Abit???? (if that is possible)

I've fed up with the whole story, 2 cpu's one dead the other prolly dead too...tested on two same Abit mobo's.

two weeks now without pc... i've had enough with that s**hit.
