Is the Black Ice Extreme 1x120mm enough for this system?

I have a P4 Northwood 3,0C. It can be overclocked to 3,9 @ default voltage.
Right now I will make a watercooling for the CPU only. I have chosen the Swiftech 6002 1/2" water block for the CPU and the Swiftech MCP650 1/2" pump but I need to know is the Black Ice Extreme capable of dissipating the heat? I will use 2x 100CFM Deltas on it with puch/pull configuration.
Right now I don't have enough money to buy bigger radiator and I need this information because if the radiator is not suitable I will wait to save more money and I'll buy the BIX2.

With the deltas on there it will be more than capable. if a little loud.

And if I run the deltas @ 5 or 7V?

I would suggest you go for the larger rad. That rad upgrade would gain you a good deal in lower temps, most of all when under load. The original BIX just isn't big enough to handle a P4 @ 3.9 + 9800Pro, 6800GT or X800XT type vid cards at optimum temps. Most of all if the GPU is also highly O/C'd.

You could however save a good deal on the cost of a larger rad by going with a large heater core.

    well i run my xp-m @ 2v and ~2730mhz
i also have blocks on my nb and 9800p

and all that is cooled by a black ice pro 1x120mm with one 85cfm fan and a crappy eheim600 pump

but it's really on the edge i must say

people say that the bix is much better than the pro - that said you should be fine with a bix for your cpu
but i'd also recommend you to go for a dual rad at least (if im lucky i'll get my triple-bix tomorow )

That rad will be ok for just the CPU.

If your planning on GPU and Chipset at a later date then something bigger wont hurt.

The idea of going fo a heatercore rather than a commercial rad is a good one, as heatercores work just as good and are quite a bit cheaper.

Thanks guys. I'll buy the BIX right now and later when I add the GPU block I'll buy the BIX3.
I plan to pass the 4G barrier with the setup. I've run this CPU @ 4.2Ghz but my PSU can not hold and the temperatures go very high ... above 50C. Soon I will get the watercooling and a new PSU and I'll post some results.
    Thank you one more time.

the bix is a good rad, but the dual heatercore from dangerden is a lot better! and it only costs 35$

i really think the bix is totally overhyped. its a good rad, yeah, but unless you just want a single 120mm rad because your case is too small you should really get a dual heatercore wich will cost less and perform better.

    lol kahn, what water/ambient/cpu temps?

water - hmm, hot soup i'd say , ambient - slightly fresh , cpu - ~49 (would crash if more)

but i was lucky, my bix3 arrived this morning so im around 40 now - gotta get a new pump or at least get the nb-block out
